    Does this include alfredo sauce?

    • Angel

Yes u can use them on Alfredo sauce I have before

Never again will I buy cheap Market Pantry pasta. FYI it’s made by ConAgra. One infested box was nightmare enough. Both companies (Target and ConAgra)played the blame game on each other, and I lost tons of food and many hours out of my life.

Doesn’t all pastas have the chance of that happening though?

      • JA

I’ve had this happen with Barilla.

    • Becky

      Infested with what?

      • Monika

I want to know too :-S I’ve couponed for pasta and have 28 boxes now. What can it be infested with? :-S

        • Bali

Maybe they meant flour moths? Those can infest any kind of dry food, and they can also come from the supermarket, not just the manufacturer.

Hun, all pasta (even Spices/Herbs) has a chance for weevils. I had some in Barilla and Luxury in the past. When i get home i now put the pasta in a container so there isn’t a chance of contaminating other items in my pantry. I also never keep a huge stockpile if it since we don’t eat pasta often, usually 4-6 different types. It’s cheap enough and goes on sale often that it isn’t necessary to have more than that.

I also had the infestation problem with pasta I bought from Target for Christmas Eve dinner. No longer buy any there- only jars of sauce.

Starches and spices can all contain weevil eggs. My grandmother taught me long ago to put any starches or spices into the freezer for 48 hours as soon as I bring them home. If any eggs are present, they will not hatch, and they have already hatched, the weevils will die and will not be able to infest other things. I put a blue sharpie fit in the UPC code when I pull it out if the freezer. So I can keep track of whether thins have been frozen. Freezing will kill any current bugs present, or eggs, but if you bring in and infested product, that will still infest others. So you have to be very diligent and make sure that every single thing gets frozen. I’ve even heard about it happening to dry cat food, especially if it’s kept in cardboard boxes at the store. Make sure when you’re getting rid of them, you open every single product, and check it. If it’s a sealed bag, like cake mix or cereal, hold the bag up to the light and turn it around. If it looks like there are tiny little spiderwebs in the corners, it’s infested. Get rid of anything that is suspect or infested. Make sure you wipe down every single jar, box, etc. and clean the shelves really well as well. you can open up your spices and dump them into a bowl to check them and then put them back in the containers if they’re okay.

        Blue sharpie DOT…

Has anybody tried this sauce, and is it good?

    • jiya

We love the pasta sauce. It’s less sweet than lot of other pasta sauces & good quality.

      • Denise

        Thank you, jiya πŸ™‚

      • Sandy

        Yep. We love this too

        • Heather C

We ❀️the sauce & the price too…. I’ve been waiting for a deal like this!

          • ana

            I love it too

            • Sara

We love the Three Cheese sauce! I did not want to admit I was using a jar sauce so I told my step kids this was an “old family recipe” now that is our family code word for anything made from a mix, box or jar lol!!!!!

    • Rachel

I’m surprised so many of you liked it. We found it too watery.

      • mel

I like to sautee a chopped small onion, some garlic and a few tbsps of tomato paste then add the jarred sauce and simmer on low to thicken it up. I also add some basil & italian seasonings if i find it too bland. With the leftover paste, I freeze it in an ice cube tray (once frozen, I pop it out and put it in a freezer
        baggie for another time.

      • Nydia

We didn’t like it at all. I had to add seasoning to make it edible, but we’ve all got different tastes.

  4. Sunshine

Darn it, i was just there! I like the market pantry pasta and sauce. I have never had a problem with my boxes. And the sauce is way better than ragu( hate that)

      • Jane

Hi Samantha – I would love it if u still have it!!!! Thanks;)

  6. dee

I love the market pantry Sauce. Not only is it tasty, but with this sale its cheaper than plain old canned tomato sauce!

  7. Nina

Can someone print the coupon for me? I have postage stamps or Kellogg’s codes I can trade! Thanks

  8. janiece

Be sure to check your Catalina coupons as well — while the $0.75/3 MP pastas I got a few weeks ago isn’t bad (but not as good as the printable), the $1.25/2 MP sauces makes this a great pickup!

    $2 – $1.25 coup- $0.04 CW = $0.71/2 ($0.36 each!)

And you’re not going to get as robust a sauce as homemade (or even Classico or Bertolli), but mel above had it right — 10 min of dressing up and it’s better than any canned sauce and less than half the cost.

  9. Brandy

Is the sauce coupon gone? It shows only the pasta itself?

    • Sara

I am also, only seeing the pasta itself. πŸ™
