Happy Friday: Hip2Save Reader Donates Kidney
Sent from reader, Jennifer:
I just wanted to let you know during National Kidney Month that one of your avid users is a hero in our family and community here in Texas! Clif M. donated his kidney to his uncle on New Year’s Eve when most people are out partying and celebrating. He spent two weeks in Houston recovering and returned to work only 15 days later. Most kidney donors take 4-6 weeks off of work to recuperate! March is National Kidney Month and Mr. McBee is doing all he can to raise awareness about kidney disease and donor awareness!
HAPPY FRIDAY! 😀

And sadly to say I didn’t know March was National Kidney Month.
Thank you for sharing!! Amazing story and amazing family you have!!
That is awesome! Hope both are doing good!!
I’m not the hero, these patients that are going through dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours at a time, holding on until someone donates a kidney to them, these are the heroes! If you are able, get tested, if you are not a match , they can pair you up with someone who is a match. We all have the power to save a life, God gave me 2 kidneys for a reason.
So great of you! Glad you are doing so well. After
You are amazing!! May God continue to bless you and your family!! 🙏
You AND the patients are all heroes. Thank you for your selfless act of love, Clif. The world is a better place because of you.

Clif..you inspire people to help others..thank you for that!
I donated a kidney to my husband almost 11 years ago. (July 27) He did dialysis 3 days a week for 4-6 hours. I’m so proud of myself and other selfless people who have helped to save the lives of others.
Saving a life makes Clif the “ultimate” hip2saver in my book! 😃
Agreed! Helps out in to perspective that the $1 off coupon savings is not what really matters. Saving a LIFE! Amazing 👏
Definitely agree with you on that!!

That is so awesome!!! Makes me cry to see such goodness. They almost look like twins! Way to go guys to show human kindness!!!
Collin, and special kudos to you for being such an inspiration. I truly mean that and i appreciate all you do. I love your family values. Thank you for this forum.
My daddy is on dialysis. . .Hoping/praying that I will be able to be a match for him, for a new-to-him kidney. . .Thankful for dialysis, but really thankful for those who will give life to another. . .
Such a great act of kindness. Very touching-go Clif!
Your husband gave his uncle his life back. I know someone who received a kidney last year. I saw him recently and he said it was wonderful not to have to undergo dialysis. Your husband is absolutely wonderful! I am glad both he and his uncle are doing well.
God bless you, hero!
God bless you! How inspiring.?
^^ inspiring!!
What an amazing, selfless, courageous thing to do. Thank you for sharing your story. Best wishes to your family.
That’s an amazing story. My mother needs a kidney, also in Texas. Sadly, I’m not in the best health to donate to her. Hoping one day she’ll be blessed as well. Best of luck.
What a precious gift!
Cliff you are an amazing oerson! My dad had a heart disease and had a heart transplant and lived a fulfilling life for another 15 years. He has since passed after his kidneys failed and gad to go on dialysis. He just couldn’t fight anymore and he knew it was time. I was diagnosed with the same heart disease a month after he had passed and someday too will need a heart transplant. I can’t tell you how important it is to be a donor and give another person a chance for life. Thank you so much Collin for letting us know about Cliff and the selfless act he has performed. In most states all it takes is too check box on your drivers license that you would like to be a donor! Like the bumper sticker says…”Please don’t take your organs to heaven, heaven knows we need them here!” So true.. so true!!!! Thank you Cliff and thank you Collin!!!
Now that’s a ‘Happy Friday!’ Great story- thank you for sharing!
Thank you all for the blessings!!
There is hope ! My mother was getting ready to go in dyalisis ! In December 2012 she got the call that there was a kidney for her she was only on the list 8 months! I became sign up to become a donor myself that in 2011 , so, I thought to myself she will never get one she didn’t have $ she only qualify for Medicaid and later my fathers social security ! But , god was there all the time ! I got diagnosed last October with cancer had 2 surgery’s the same day ! Had a masectomity and I’m here for a reason !! There is hope , believe ! Houston tx has the greatest organ donors and the greatest doctors ! So, now I wear the green , pink bands
The recipient looks just like Joe Walsh.
God bless them! Both my Grandma and Dad passed away from renal failure. People like this guy save lives! Thanks for sharing this!!!
That is so heartwarming!! I wish them both good luck and great health!
