Was able to get 2 for my four boys! lol one for now and one for when they loose all of the ones from the first box, lol

    • cheryl

      Hahaha….. A great backup plan!

  2. Amber

Got one for my son for his summer bday. He is just starting to play with Legos. Couldn’t find it at my local store, but it was available at Grandma’s local store 4 hours away 🙂

  3. Susan

After placing order with cc# stated not available for store p/u so I deleted it from my cart ;hopefully Walmart will not charge my card. I think not, but stranger things have happened. I just wish they would inform you of this prior to having to put in cc#.I could try it again @ another Wal Mart but now I don’t want to. Too bad because they are a great price & my grandson always wants to build!

    • Veronica

I had this happen also and am confident it wasn’t charged because I had also used a gift card balance. When I changed the store and tried to process the order again, the gift card balance was still available, which is why I’m sure the CC part wasn’t processed either. So far it looks like my 2nd attempt was successful. 🙂

    • Jessica

This happened to me as well but I got them. What you have to do is click the find in my store button and then add it to your cart from there

    • Betsy

Susan, If you feel like it, go back in and try again, change (edit) your pick-up to a store that says it will be ready today, then it will go through. Hopefully one close enough to you to make it worth it.

  4. Amy

I’ve seen these in my store for the past few weeks on an end cap for $20. I think I love legos as much as my kids do! Haha

  5. SS

Thank you!! My son loves Legos and this will be his first set! Found it in NC!

  6. Meredith M

    Is this a good price?

    • Beth

@Meredith, I think this is a good price. My “price point” for these “general” boxes/kits is less than 5 cents a piece, and this works out closer to 3, which is good. again, it depends on your kid’s wants/needs – these boxes typically have a ton of the smaller pieces and are lacking the larger ones so better for older kids. it would make a great gift too! hope it helps!

      • Meredith M

        THANKS!!!

    • Amber

Yes it is a good price. I got on lego.com and it sells for $39.99 on there not sure what the shipping is for the site.:)

  7. Katie upton

My,3 boys, love legos!!!! Please! !!

  8. Lily

Got one at Arden, NC – Thanks Collin !

  9. Michelle

It wouldn’t let me buy via my iPad but when I used my computer it did. Not sure what the difference is?

  10. Erin

At what age did your kids start playing with the smaller legos? I ordered one, but my son is only 2.5 right now. I plan to wait for xmas or bday til he is older, but curious on what age your child was able to safely play with the small ones?

    • J

I trusted my kid not to eat them around 3-3.5 but she was 5 before she actually kept track of them.

      • Erin

My son was almost three when he got his first “regular” Legos. He *quickly* learned to pick them up when our dog would snatch them and chew apart the little rubber wheels (and also when I vacuumed them up!). It’s funny, he still comes running like Pavlov’s dog when he hears the rattle of a Lego in the vacuum.

    • vmm

About 3.5 or 4 for the oldest. Younger for the next kid… Since exposed earlier. Pretty much as soon as they aren’t putting things in their mouths or randomly throwing them around the room:). And when I was sick of how much space mega bucks take up in a room. Definitely limit little legos to a small assortment at first and in a specific location for less mess.

    • Kerry

My son was just a little over 3 when he started with the smaller legos.

    • alicia

My daughter is currently 3.5 and has been playing with them (with mommy) for over a year. But she has always been around them since my oldest is 9! She does great with them and we are currently on the floor playing with the one we currently own!

      • Erin

Thanks ladies! I was worried they would sit in the closet for a while, but it sounds like this Christmas or his 3rd b-day in January might be a great time to give him these. He doesn’t put things in his mouth. It’s more the dumping that brings such great joy to him that I am concerned about 🙂 I don’t think our dog will eat these….he has a preference for wood toys. He’s a great dog and has never chewed on anything of ours, but we discovered wood is his weakness LOL. RIP ikea wood stacking rings and the 2 most important pieces in the train set!

    • Pixie508

My son got his first set for his third birthday. He’s only allowed to play with one of us, not because I think he’ll eat them, but I’m afraid he’ll lose them, and I have an infant too. Also, they’re still a bit hard for him to manipulate by himself (he does fantastic w/ Duplos). I bought this set, and he’ll probably get them for Christmas/his birthday (within 2 weeks of each other) this year.

    • CJ

I’m surprised to see so many people’s young kids did well with them. My 6 yr old has gotten a few small sets as gifts & the pieces end up lost within a week. For now he’s happy with Duplos so I’ll probably wait a year or so before getting the small ones. Maybe he’s just not mature enough to be responsible for them yet.

  11. Carol

    Got it!!!
My son is almost 5 and plays with lego jr sets. Depends on your child’s fine motor and frustration level. Or if you have other small children in the house. ( small pieces)

  12. Lynn Barnett

I am a play therapist and this would be great for my young clients who have been through so much trauma in their young lives

  13. Suzie Jimenez

    Free pick up today!

  14. Ann

For anyone trying to compare prices…black Friday had the XXL Lego Tower containing 1,600 pieces for $30.

    • alicia

I am hoping to get this for my kids next year but they just sold out way to fast for me last year!! But I have 3 kids who love lego time and we do it as a family activity so the more the better!!

  15. Bonnie

I’m thinking these might be our Easter egg fill this year. My kids don’t eat much candy.

    • Erin

      How cool!

    • Nicole

      Love this idea!

    • Heather N

Thats what Im doing this year. Scored a few boxes!

    • brindha

Yeah it is…. but I couldn’t find the exact product anywhere else for this price. Many had lesser pieces for the same price….

  23. Amy Steed

Bummed b/c they don’t offer in store pick up in my area. 🙁 I just tried 2 different Walmarts.

  24. cdw

  27. Susan

Will this work for an 8 year old boy? He is very good at building complex models and I would like to know if it will be too babyish for him???

    • SS

I know many grown men who still play with Legos:)

  28. Laura

ugh… no longer available… but what a deal!

  29. Sue

I don’t think it is that great of a deal. I bought the Lego Tower set that has 1,600 pieces for $30 around Christmas.

    • Krista

I am not sure either, but this set has windows and wheels too, which is neat. It didn’t look like the Black Friday set had those. Is that true?

  30. Tamara

Darn it shows unavailable now…anyone order an extra that they want to sell me?

  31. Sara Newton

I found one in store for $20 at my store in Layton, Utah.
