Ive never been to one of these how long do the classes take and what do the parents do lol
It’s really nice. We do the Lowe’s one since those are geared towards a younger age. My kids are 3 and 5. They get an apron (to keep) and hammer and all the parts. They have instructions and the holes are predrilled that they use to hammer. My 3 year old needs more help but my 5 year old is pretty much on his own. It’s great and free! They give you a patch to iron on to your apron. My boys have done 6 of these thus far. I heard the Home Depot one is geared more towards older kids than mine (by a couple years probably).
I forgot to answer how long. We are typically out in less than half an hour with the two boys. About 15 minutes it averages.
10-15 minutes. The nail and hammering part will almost always require parents to ‘assist’ especially if you have little ones. I say 9yr+ would be able to hammer in the nails well by themselves, otherwise parent be ready to put in some arm oil 🙂
My kids have been doings for 2 years now and my kids now 7 can do them mostly on there own. Most take 15 minutes or so
It’s fun free project.parents assist the kids to handle hammer, nails when required.my daughter is 3 and she loves these projects. She made a monster truck😊
If the kids want they can finish up the project in the store or you can take the supplies home.it usually takes about an hour depending on how fast your kid works.
My son is 8 & has done these for 5 years now and still loves them! He doesn’t do well with crowds and can do the kits quite easily now that he’s older so we take them home now. A great experience every time with both Lowes and Home Depot.
Just registered for both. Thanks a lot. For those that have never been it takes longer to wait to get the stuff than to actually complete it. Only new people get the aprons.
Our location is already full! It fills up so quickly 🙁 has anyone gone before even though not signed up and got in? I’m assuming some people hat sign up are no shows so they would have extra kits??
Thanks!
I was wondering the same thing. Home depot doesn’t even check if you are registered or not. We always come without registration. Was wondering if Lowes does the same. All 5 Lowes stores around my area are full. Thank you.
