Bough this freezer when it was on sale last time Collin posted. Love it
Awesome! So happy to hear that you are loving it! 🙂
Same! It’s great deal.
It’s not auto defrost so did u have to clean ice by manually?
The 7.1 cu ft by Igloo is on sale too. It’s just $169.
A couple more cu ft for just $20 more.
Needed one when the fridge/freezer went on the fritz a few days ago.
We considered the 7.1 cu one. But thinks it’s too big for us
Best Buy also has the 7.1 cu ft version of this freezer for $169.99! Picked up one yesterday!
Great price! I have one that is similar. I love it! One of the best money saving purchases I have ever made.
😀
do y’all batch cook and freeze or what are y’all using a chest freezer for?
I stock mine with bread that I get from our local bread outlet. Also, freezer meals.
I buy meat and freeze.
I batch cook and freeze, store milk, and other extras from couponing. I have 4 daughters. It’s perfect for my small place. Meat should be on sale for Memorial Day so I’ll stock up on that as well.
For storing the fish we catch “in season”. After cleaning them we pack em in Food Saver vacuum bags. Holds them well for “off season” meals. I freeze milk in small zip bags in 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1 cup measurements. Toss em into a larger zip bag for using when those sizes are needed for a recipe. We only cook with the frozen milk. We don’t use a lot of fresh milk. However, when there are buy 4 cereals and get a gallon free milk, those are times I freeze in batches.
My freezer is upright. I do U-pick fruit in the summer (blueberries, cherries and peaches) and then use them all year for smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, pies, cobblers, etc. Also make and freeze applesauce and stewed tomatoes as well as roasted tomato sauce for pasta.
We buy meat when it’s on sale. Also, we have a garden in the summer, and I boil, peel and freeze tomatoes in bags. I will use this in the winter for fresh tomato sauce (in the summer it goes from garden to stove, no freezing needed). We’re debsting buying 1/4 of a cow in Wisconsin (we live in Illinois) and freezing it but have yet to do that. With our family of 6, anything helps!!
Don’t forget $5 back from Ibotta!
Thanks for that reminder, Beth! But isn’t the ibotta rebate for an in-store purchase?
can someone who owns this do me a huge favor?? can you tell me how long the cord is? my apartment only has ONE outlet in the basement, and i’m wondering if the cord will reach it.
thank you
About 6 ft.
Oh shoot! I bought the 7.1 2 weeks ago on sale for 179 at Best Buy . I could have saved 10 bucks if u has waited.
They may do a price adjustment.
no one has had any problems picking up and fitting this in their car right? thinking of getting the bigger 7+ cu ft one.
Be sure to check before you take it home. We got ours home just to find there was a huge dent in the bottom. Was a pain to get it replaced
