So I’ve been checking Lowes and Home Depot, and I haven’t found any charcoal deals. π Anyone find any?
Oops, I meant to reply directly to your comment… see below π
Walmart has the Kingsford charcoal for $7.94 for 2-15lb bags.
Thanks! In previous years, I’ve purchased online for store pickup, and they’ve had percentage discounts that brought the price down further, but I haven’t seen anything except Lowe’s military discount this year. I bought a 15-lb bag for $2.99 at Kroger, so I guess I’ll hold out til July 4 to see if something smoking comes along. Thanks again!
Lowe’s has two 19lb bags for $9.98 I just picked them up today.
Erin, both Lowe’s and Home Depot had the 2-packs of Kingsford charcoal for $9.88 this weekend. The Lowe’s website is still advertising this price, while supplies last. Looks like you can do free in-store pick-up, too! Good luck π

So many people die every year because of a lack of these in their homes. It’s horrific that something so easy to install is neglected in homes.
Also, when was the last time you changed the batteries?
Also, I highly suggest you research photoelectric vs ionization or contact your local FD for a quick lesson. It is so very important.
Also, I highly recommend checking with your local fire dept. In my city we can get one smoke detector for each bedroom for free from our FD. We just have to provide proof of residence such as a driver’s license or utility bill.
