  I bought a refurbished dyson on Amazon 3 years ago. It started to go to crap a few months ago and just bit the dust. I took it to a ‘vacuum guy’ and it turns out it needs $200 worth of parts and labor. He basically said that these days they make dysons to last maybe 5 year and they’re not very serviceable. I loooooved my dyson, so I’m very sad. I used to clean houses for a living and used several older dysons that were going strong, but I guess they’re not made the same these days. As much as I love dysons, I’m definitely looking into cheaper options this time.

   I bought my Dyson upright on Amazon years ago, factory refurbished. Got a fantastic deal on it, and it worked great for about 6 years. It finally started to fall apart this year, and we have all wood floors now anyway. But I do recommend Dyson 🙂
