Happy Friday: Target Toy Clearance Joy

My late grandmother lived with us from the time I was pregnant with my son until she passed when he was 5 years old. She always looked up and down the aisles in every single store to find a toy that she described as “one I bought for my boys when they were young…a picture came across the screen and it played nursery rhymes.” She never found it.
Now my son is 6 with a 10 month old sister that my grandmother never got to meet. While searching through Target’s Toy Clearance, I found the toy she always talked about! Regular price $20 and I got it for $6. Now my son who had such a strong bond with his great grandmother will be able to give his little sister this toy for her birthday and explain the reasoning behind it. I wouldn’t have found this at all had it not been for Hip2Save reporting the clearance. My mom cried when she saw it knowing that it was something my grandmother always wanted to buy for my son. Thanks!

Hi Ladies! I’m sure most of you have heard of the Olaplex craze going on. I have bought it on eBay but last week I bought it from a lady at http://www.affordableolaplex.com. It was $100 for the entire kit which is an awesome deal compared to the prices everywhere else! Just thought I’d share this! And according to her page the profit she makes goes right towards her kids which I thought was awesome. 🙂

My mother in law just bought a toy very similar to this one for my daughter’s first birthday a couple of weeks ago. My daughter plays with it as her “tablet”. My mother in law is 83 and my father in law passed away while I was pregnant with my son 11 years ago. I am very sad for my children because they won’t get to have a special relationship with their granparents like I did. Grandparents are such a special part of childhood…

How can I find out which target may have this toy? What a special gift. I would love my son to have one!
Most Targets sell this toy. They have a small section with retro toys such as this, the record player, and radio. I’m glad she found it but was surprised it wasn’t found sooner. Target has been selling these for 10+ years now. Every Target Ive been to sells these.

I had this toy as a child (I was born in 1987)! It still works (we kept it).
Mine was actually from 1983 since it was my sister’s toy originally. My mom received it as a baby shower present from her sister-in-law.
