Looks like the freebie is actually the Sport Lycra fabric. That one worked for me!
Thank you!
Got it, Thanks!
Yep, you have to change the fabric to Sport Lycra.
Yes, make sure you put in the type of fabric, “Sport Lycra”. Add it to your cart and click on the small box to the right that states “Go For It”. Then it should show up as FREE. Hope that helps!

You’re Welcome!
OT: My “FREE” Shutterfly Mug has shipped. Check your account or email. 🙂
Mines still says “in production”. Thanks Sheila! Now I have hope.
Mine was shipped too 🙂
One of two has!
Sport lycra worked for me as well.
Great!
That’s the same swatch I got. The last swatch I got I used to make a bow for my daughter.
Good idea what i will use the heart swatch for. Christmas or special occasion bows.
I’m new to the bow making world…can you provide basic info on how to make a bow with a fabric swatch?
Hi Diane. This is the one of the tutorials I learned from. Now I rather sew them, but they are just as pretty using this method too. https://lifeunfluffed.com/make-ridiculously-easy-bows/ hope this helps. Have fun, I know I do.
Oh diane I don’t know how to do it was going to look it up on YouTube. I don’t think it would be that hard.
worked! awesome, thanks!!!
You’re Welcome!
Thanks so very much…I uploaded a picture of my grandson and will make a bag or some other craft project with the swatch.
I was planning to make a cosmetic purse 🙂 used pic monkey to create a collage (one pic was upside down).I will sew the sides and attach a zipper 🙂
How did u upload picture? It doesnt recognize my files!
I clicked on “browse”. Same uploading process as usual. Must be JPEG, if I recall correctly.
Another idea for using a swatch of fabric is to frame it. you can even stretch it over a cheap-o artist canvas from Joanne’s.
Great ideas Jessica!
I love the stretch over canvas frame idea too…so easy to make with scrap wood. Walmart sells small 5 inch paint on canvas for around a dollar. 8 inch square would wrap around it nicely.
Thanks for posting this. I love the free sample but extra excited about the site!! The fabric is so cute and affordable! plus the fabric is printed in North Carolina about an hour from where we live…small world. Thanks again.
YW:)
Redbox code GJ24MWD5 and NVMZD6DH
Expire today.
i will make a tooth pillow, yea
What a great idea!! Ima have to copy for this swatch. Thanks.
next time I’ll make an eyeglasses case. Kind of limited with an 8×8 square.
Thanks, I got mine; my shutterfly says “in production”. I realize I left tout a digit in my address 🙁 I sent an email as I wasn’t getting through via phone. I’m hoping they get it before it ships.
Thanks for the lycra tip got mine.Wow you guys have shutterfly already, that was fast.Mine says in production too.
I also got a cute pink tooth swatch to make a tooth fairy pillow. Thanks!
Is this an 8 inch x 8 inch swatch of fabric ?? Or bigger , I’m confused??
thank you. this looks like a great fabric to use for doll gymnastics clothes.
I’m hoping to get creative and make Art for my toddlers room! 😀
with an 8×8 peice of fabric?
*peice.. Just curious what you will do with it
You can always frame it
why would you want one piece of 8″ fabric? What would you do with it?
Lots of things can be done with an 8×8 piece of fabric. Doll clothes, small bag, quilt square, facing to something larger, applique, art, and much more.
do an online search for fabric swatch craft ideas, and you’ll find plenty of cool uses
I agree! I quilt but one piece of fabric 8×8?!?!?!
Collin, THANK YOU for the wonderful exposure from your blog. I’m a brand new designer, haven’t officially launched my collection yet, but Spoonflower’s promotion for an 8×8 swatch of the Sport Lycra really gave me a boost. I just released my new designs for sale this week and your readers found my designs through this post. Thank you!
Awesome! Best of luck to you! 🙂
Got the adorable state park globes. Plan on doing something kitcheney with it! thanks, Collin!
It took me a while to create the jpg but I just ordered the freebee with “Spartan for Life” in green text. Hoping to make a garden flag for my Michigan State loving husband.
So much to choose from. I can’t decide on a fabric or a project I want to do with this freebie.
hi, i am unable to order. please help me. for me it is telling total $6
bummer – I just saw that it was only through noon on August 5. So, it’s now passed.
