I know not too long ago you posted about L’Oreal Consumer Panel and it inspired conversation and some interest. I thought I’d share my recent gift for a study I participated in for L’Oreal. I realize, as I too share in this, there is some frustration in it being so hard to get selected. I urge everyone to keep trying. Stay after it, check the site often and good luck!

With that being said, if you haven’t joined the L’Oreal Consumer Panel yet, head here to apply. If you qualify, you will receive occasional surveys that are usually focused on skin care and/or cosmetics. When you complete a certain number of the informational surveys, they will mail you full-size bottles of high end skincare and/or makeup products…or possibly even a prepaid reward card! 🙂

(Thanks, Jenn!)

I signed up for this months ago and taken a bunch of surveys. Never qualified though!

I know – me either. I finally ‘left’ the panel since I was never needed 😉

    • Cognitiveiris

      Same here 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer 🙁

I have been a part of the panel for over 2 years. I have qualified for 1 survey. It was a nice Lancôme eyeshadow kit which was nice. However I don’t even try to qualify anymore since I never do. Its a waste of time for me.

I want to try and qualify but I am worried that they might call me. I have a severe phone phobia D:

I am glad I am not the only one!!

    • bali

They’ve never called me. Also, you could always use a google voice number.

    • Jennie

I have been a member for 5+ years, and have never been called. I have qualified for only 3 studies but have received expensive Lancôme products as payment, and the surveys are not very long. If you don’t qualify, you know in the first two minutes or less. It’s worth trying it out:)

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for your feedback Jennie! 🙂

    • llc

I have never been contacted via phone. Just emails letting you know you can see if you qualify.

  3. Mary

    I’ve never qualified either.

  4. debi

Im on the panel but havent yet qualified to receive the free products to test..on a better note im on the Pinecone panel and Its great so far 🙂

  5. Jill

I took tons of the surveys and finally qualified for one. After using and logging feedback on a product for a week, I got sent a drugstore eyeliner and one other cheap item. So disappointing

    • bali

Weird. I qualified for two tests last year. In return they sent me (among other things) a full sized Kiehl’s body lotion and a Lancome face cream. I was pretty happy.

  6. Katie

They want only people who would be using the products to test them. No point to be testing a shampoo for curly hair if you have straight hair. They don’t have new products coming out all the time. And they don’t owe you anything for testing for them. You sign up for it, they don’t come knocking. I know not everyone thinks that way but to be grateful to have these opportunities and anything on top of that is icing on the cake.

I am a make-up JUNKIE! There, I said it. I have been on the panel for a few years and have NEVER been chosen to test a product. I answer the survey’s honestly and still don’t qualify. I understand the issue with not qualifying for a specific hair product based on your hair type but make-up is usually universal. I think they are another company that I’ll be blocking and see how they feel about that…lol.

I have been a member for a few years. The compensation is very generous. I’ve received many Lancome and Loreal products. Just completed my 4th study last week. It is difficult to qualify. When you do you have to do everything they ask and complete feedback in a timely manner or you will not be compensated.

    • Meredith

I should add that all of my studies have been in home where they mail me products to try that have yet to be released and I use them for a specified amount of time and provide my results via questionnaires.

I check for opportunities a couple times a day …. just in case one pops up. I have qualified for 2 of them. The first time I got to test some very expensive mascara (full size, no less!) And I got rewarded with full sized Lancôme products. You obviously can’t always qualify, but it literally takes a minute to check in each day to try. Worth it to me! 🙂

  9. Tracey

I’ve been a new panel member for a few months and out of the seven surveys available I didn’t meet any requirements. However I can appreciate how strict they are because that means that their claims are reliable and the right consumer was tested for a certain product. To check my qualifications only takes a minute or so and I don’t mind the wait. 😀 I am glad to just get the opportunity. But congrats to those who have been able to participate so far because it looks like fun!

How do you know if you’ve qualified? Is it at the end of the survey? I did one (I keep forgetting to check) but at the end didn’t say anything.

  10. Tara

I left also, never qualify..I must not need any products😉

  11. Cheryll

I signed up months ago and I received one survey so far but didn’t qualify. It’s good to hear of someone participating. It gives me hope !

  12. ashley

I signed up a few months ago and finally qualified for my first study, starting this week. So excited!

  13. Joanne

I just finished a study using six shampoos and six conditioners – each for a three day period. At the end of each three day period they would send me a survey to fill out. I finished the survey and am waiting to see what the compensation will be.

  14. Joanne

Forgot to say I’ve been a panel member for over two years and this is the first time I qualified.
