Thanks, I ordered the first one shown 😊…. The price with Prime is excellent. Last week I ordered 4 adult coloring books and a set of beautiful notecards that would make a nice homemade gift (which my 13 year old enjoys making) or thank you cards. I had to spend $35 minimum as they weren’t Prime eligible. I got 3 for her crafty friend’s bday (Along with 99c thin Crayola markers & colored pencils) and one for myself t👀… Hoping it will be therapeutic & reduce stress. I also think this is a great idea for those living in a group or nursing home and may be a terrific donation idea.

      YW! Great idea Heather! 🙂

LOVE the idea of kids coloring notecards for others, Heather! did you findthe notecards on Amazon or just DIY?

Perfect with my new set of 50 colored pencils from yesterday! 🙂 I think coloring is a wonderful stress reliever.

I was reading some of the reviews. Has anyone bought these. There saying use Blick color pencils & Copic markers. Markers are pricey. Thanks for the feedback.

I haven’t bought these particular coloring books but I did pick up a Posh Adult Coloring book from B&N. I just use regular Crayola colored pencils and it works just fine. I’m sure more expensive pencils/markers would be nice but the Crayola works for me 🙂

I have the second one shown and it is one of my favorite. I use colored pencils and gel pens. I sometimes use felt tip pens or thin markers. This book has only one pic per page. Not on both sides.

I have the first book shown, the pictures are on both sides of the paper so I do have to use either gel pens or colored pencils. Bic or sharpie markers both bleed thru. I have several others that the pics are single sides, those I use bic markers with. I enjoy these very much, the patterns are beautiful and they do help me relax some!

My daughter was given two books and nice coloring pencils last week for her 12th birthday. She was thrilled! I’d never thought of giving them to older kids who love art, but now I will 🙂

I just texted my bf the link. I am hoping he will buy them for me ha☺

  8. Dyan

Do any of them only have the pic on one side…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Dyan! The Dover Creative Haven Mehndi Designs Coloring Book, the second one does! Good Luck! 🙂

My 17-year old loves these adult coloring books, too. I’ve bought several from Amazon in the past.

It’s a great gift idea, to add to a gift bag with one of the cheap sets of colored pencils or gel pens that are available now with the back-to-school sales…and other goodies if you like! 😀

These books are also sold at Hobby Lobby, 40-50% off depending on coupon or sale. Just in case someone didn’t want to buy from Amazon.

Thanks for letting us know. Good idea

I actually use adult coloring books. They have been very helpful for me, my life has been beyond stressful the last few months. I found these books a little over a month ago. I put the kiddos to beds, pick up the house and then I spend about an hour coloring before bed. I am staying up later to color (every little kids dream) but I find that I am falling asleep easier and sleeping better. Hope others find them as helpful as I have.

That has been me as well. After all the stresses going on and the house is finally quiet and put back together after the kids destroy it I am able to de-stress by simply coloring.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve always loved coloring but didn’t realize other adults found it soothing too. Back in high school I used to bring a coloring book and colored pencils to my pre-calculus course and a good friend of mine ended up coloring as well. Somehow having my hands busy and just that bit of distraction from bigger distractions helped me concentrate. Thankfully our teacher understood – it probably helped that we were both generally good students (both somewhere in the top 10 or so in our graduating class of about 800 students).

I have great passion for coloring since I was 14. I grow to be addicted to coloring this made me to see coloring in a different dimension. It has been a great tool for me and my family in relieving stress and it also helps me relax after a hectic day.
