    For those that got the “expired” message, don’t feel too bad. Those of us that actually had an order confirmed are now receiving “cancelled order” notifications due to “technical error.”

    I can’t believe the seller would not have honored their mistake. Its not worth it for them to irritate so many people. It could not have been that much of a loss. It promoted their products they sell and their store. So all in all they lost more by cancelling every order then honoring their mistake.

      Most people probably wouldn’t be repeat customers and if they are a small company a flood of hundreds and hundreds of free orders could be a huge burden and financially impossible.

      I doubt it. This was posted on every deal site I visit. They’ll recover faster from this error than losing thousands over it.

      That won’t do anything….companies that make mistakes like that RARELY honor their mistakes, and if it’s a technical error that’s causing their bad feedback, amazon will remove the comments.

    Please read this everyone! I was ready to give them a bad rating, but I decided to email the company first to hear their explanation. I got a prompt and polite reply that said they had given an upset customer a $10 off code and the customer decided to share it with everyone. On one hand I’m not sure how that happened, as the code was actually on their own pages. But it looked like they had really good ratings before this, so I will accept it and not give them bad feedback.

      I’m sorry and this is just my opinion but I don’t see how this can be because it showed the promotion on several of their products, it just sounds like an easy out for them and also it sounds like everyone got the same generic email sent to them.

        Yeah, exactly this. A costumer might be able to pass a code around but they can’t post it to the company’s Amazon pages. It sounds like they messed up and they’re just backpedaling now in an effort to save face. I can understand, I honestly couldn’t see how they could afford to give away that much free product. But it’s bad PR to not just fully own up to that mistake and instead try to pass the blame off onto someone else. It would make me hesitant to deal with the company in the future because it makes me think that if there was a problem with the order that they wouldn’t accept responsibility for it.

    Yeah, it had the code on the item screens I purchased so it’s not like someone passed the code around. Mine wasn’t totally free either as I had purchased 2 nail polishes. Oh well….

    I received the following email in response to a query I sent via Amazon:

    “I apologize for the inconvenience. We recently attempted to resolve a dispute with an upset customer by offering a coupon code for $10 to use in our store. The code was only meant for one customer. Little did we know that customer would chose make the code live.

    We had a large volume of orders that came in within the day the code went live. Here at Lucky Star Gifts, we are a relatively small with only 3 employees and cannot take a loss on such an extensive amount of products without the consequence of closing down our store.

    If your order has been made with the coupon code AFIHXHQQ, it has been cancelled and any payment made will be refunded.

    A small mistake has been made and we are now facing a huge consequence. I hope you can understand our situation.
    Again, on behalf of our team at Lucky Star Gifts, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. “

      Reasonable and understandable response totally opposite from that episcencial baby products situation from a few years ago. They were rude and treated us like crooks. I still am annoyed that they honored 2 of my higher priced orders while canceling the almost free ones. Either cancel all orders that use the promo code or honor all, they can’t just pick and choose which ones they want to put through. I vowed to never buy their products again!
