Boycotting this promotion because the first 1,000 to register were supposed to get a free $5 gift card but neither I nor any of my friends who registered immediately seemed to quality. Seemed like a bait and switch to me…
Don’t think anything is mailed yet. According to rules there’s entry periods until 9/16.
It seems like that could happen with any promotion. There’s no way to know if you were the first 1,000 and that really isn’t a lot when thousands of people are all trying to win.
Does this mean it is good for Randalls-Safeway in Houston, Tx? I think it may be just for Albertsons.

Albertsons owns Safeway. On the form, you choose store city, then a list of stores is under that, so it may work.

Has anyone actually tried this? Do you have to buy 2 items or 4? The way I read this is for every 2 items you buy, you get one code. If you collect 2 codes then you get the GC, right? I interpreted this to mean 4 items = 2 receipt codes. Am I wrong?

Albertsons had $1 off 1 coupons available in the coupon machine things(brain fart of what to call them lol) for good humor ice cream product.
I bought 2 items on 2 different shopping trips and I got a code each time. Last night I submitted both codes to redeem my $5 gift card offer.

I am in N. California. Shopped at Safeway. Purchased the correct items but didn’t get any codes. Oh well! Needed the ice cream for a birthday party anyway!
I didn’t get any codes either! The staff at the store had no idea what I was talking about. But I’m upset as I made a special trip just for the gift card!

My $5 card came in today’s mail. I knew this type of an offer does take what seems for ever to be filled. But I suppose requests weren’t started until after the Sept. 14th deadline. I wish I could still get our favorite Magnum Mini Classics at our store, 46th and Woodstock (Safeway). Please let me know where we can find them. thank you.
