I decided to try the Dollar Store dishwasher tabs (10 count for $1.00= .10/tablet). To my surprise, they work just as nicely and they smell great too.
i have tried all kinds of dishwasher soaps and detergents, including from other countries, and homemade, b/c we have terrible hard water, and i could not find one that worked well.
these Finish Tabs are truly the best, and when i can get them anywhere near 10 cents per tab, that is SO worth it!
my tip- i only use 2/3 of the tab at a time for a big full load, and it works perfectly for us. (and i don’t pre-rinse, and i hardly scrape dirty stuff when i load.) i save 1/3 of the tab, and use a couple of those smaller pieces in their own load at a later time. i know only half of my loads have the red-powerball-rinse thing, but it doesn’t seem to matter. (you can easily snap the end of the tab off when it is still in the package.) this makes my expensive dishwasher detergent last 33% longer!

Is this a stock up price?
This is a buy price, but not a stock up price. You can usually get them several times a year for tenor eleven cents a tab.
CVS has them for .04 a tab ending tomorrow.
How did you work that deal?
The 60 count boxes are on sale 2/$10. Spend $30 get $10 ECB. If you just did that alone you would score 360 tabs for $20…only .05 a tab! Coupons.com has a .55 off one coupon. Between phones and iPads I was able to get 6 coupons. I had to do a few trips, but after coupons they are .04 a tab.
I just bought some 30-ct boxes of Finish, about an hour ago, at Dollar General. They had an end cap of 50% off 27-ct Free and Clear Finish ($2.25), 30-ct Finish All in 1 Powerball tabs ($2.25) and 150 oz bottles of Sun Triple Clean plus Oxi liquid laundry detergent ($2.50). Buying 3 boxes beats the Amazon deal by $2.80. Though, the 50% off might have been a YMMV. I stopped by the location, 2 miles down the same street, and they didn’t seem to have marked any down for clearance.
