At what height us a child too tall for this? Anyone have an idea?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The specs on both bikes say up to 60lbs. Hope that helps! ๐Ÿ™‚

My son is about 45″ at 4 (yeah, tall), and he’s too tall for it. I’d say 40″ is max height, but even that would be pushing it. These are perfect for 2-3 year olds, and probably some 4.. They do make a 16″ bike, but it’s about $150. I’ve known several people to buy the bike, and within a week the kids are riding a real bike. So instead of putting the money into the right size balance bike, we took the pedals off of our sons regular 16″ bike. Same concept, right height bike for him, and after 3 days he’s riding his bike just fine ๐Ÿ™‚ I do think balance bikes are perfect if you get them when the child is young. We just waited too long, and didn’t see putting the money into the right size bike for him when we could just take the pedals off of his for a few days ๐Ÿ™‚
