Some people ( like me) had to work today and didn’t get a chance to check every hour. My name wasn’t up there, but I wouldn’t have been able to claim even if it was.
Just out of curiosity, why enter if you know you won’t be able to check or won’t be able to have some one check for you? Why not help other people out who can check by not entering and improve their chances?
Sounds like someone is bitter because they have to work and don’t have the chance to stay home. By the way being a stay at home mom is work! I didn’t have the time either to check every hour even though I was home. I had a toddler and a baby to take care of. I know people who work in an office and have all day to play on their phones or computers.
Why wouldn’t someone be bitter that they have to work? I’d love to continue staying home all day with my little one and watch her grow, but unfortunately, yeah, some families aren’t financially stable enough to stay at home. So yes, I think it’s fair if some parents are bitter! And not everyone can work in a cozy office!
If this was directed at me, I’m not bitter by any means. I’m a preschool teacher and have a pretty good perspective on what spending days with small children entails. I enter contests like this because like everyone who loves hip2save, I like/need to save/win money whenever I can. Just trying to give a different perspective.

I said the same thing and got called a sore loser. I’m not a sore loser (I’m just a loser. 😉 ) I just think it takes seconds to glance at the app once an hour and if you entered and don’t have the time to do that than you took the chance of winning away from someone who needed it more.

That’s not very fair to say, that someone “needed it more”. How do you know? Life happens and people get called away. If they had claimed the prize you still wouldn’t have won, so you’re no worse off. Complaining in comment sections like this make people not want to hold contests. Then nobody would have anything!

I have to say, I am truly ashamed of some of the comments on here. Throwing out judgements on who needs it more and calling names won’t get you the gift cards. I would have loved to win and checked every hour, like many of you; however, that’s what a drawing is like. You might win, you might not. Don’t get upset and start insulting people and calling names if you don’t win. I can easily imagine many situations in which a person would miss a hour (or even a few) and therefore not claim their prize. We’re ALL here because we need to save money and enjoy deals. If you don’t win at least have fun with the contest and the community. Otherwise if we keep acting like this there may not be any more giveaways.
I agree. I was dead set that I was going to watch between the 6 & 7pm hour last night. Then we decided to have dinner out, I locked my cell away in my purse for the hour we had dinner together as a family. I colored the placemat with my 4 year old daughter and spent time with her since I don’t see her all day. I completely forgot until I got home. I didn’t win during that hour, had I have I would have missed it. You know what? I would have been bummed a little, but I’ll never regret having that time with her.
People need to chill the heck out. We can all use money, but fighting online?

Some people entered the contest a week or more ago. Days go by fast and you don’t realize it comes up quick. Life happens. Chill out. No one’s more entitled than anyone else because they remembered to check a website once an hour all day.
