  An email address you can only get by being a college student (the school supplies it to you) and they usually expire/ or are no longer once you’re not an active college student anymore.

  .edu is the suffix for education. The email address ends with it. Just need to be a part of a school – student/teachers/employees. It’s the email they give you.

   If it helps anyone, I got the code to my .edu address shortly after requesting it. Order came to $190 and some change after the $50 off and my taxes applied. Our 32 inch Sony just died after 10 years ( WOW they make good quality TVs) so this was a blessing. Thanks Collin 🙂

    I work for best buy, normally you’ll receive the college student deals coupons within 24-48 hours, it just needs to be verified as a valid .edu email address before the coupons are sent.

    Collin, thanks so much! We were in search of a new tv, as ours is slowly going out on us. I dug in my heals and was waiting for the right deal because I just didn’t want to part with a large amount of money. I was able to make use of the $50 off, as well, being a college student. Awesome deal!

    Be cautious of these bestbuy deals. They are usually outdated models and Best Buy does not accept returns st a dtore because these deals come from a warehouse. I have experienced this. Really frustrating.

    The tv is on sale for $250, not $230. So total comes to $200. I’m bummed it wasn’t actually on sale for $230 as stated 🙁
    This coupon does work in store too, so I am sure you could return to store if bought there tuffysmom90
