Ok, don’t think I am a bad mom but when my daughter was a sneaky teenager, I hid one of these near the top of my staircase so if she tried to sneak out of the house at night it would “ding” in my bedroom. These also work really well if you have an RV and leave a lot of expensive items outside the campground at night,such as bicycles,to alert you when people walk near your stuff. Another idea is this will help keep your yard from getting rolled. Ok,apparently, I have a lot of mischief in my life, lol.

I’m currently looking after my dear 88 year old Mom who has dementia. Sometimes she has insomnia and I have found her trying to open the front door in the wee hours of the morning. The house is so big that I don’t always hear when she opens her bedroom door. I considered getting a baby monitor but this might be a better alternative.
