I wish NY was one of the states. I would love to work from home

  2. sarah

    bummed Michigan isn’t included

    • Kim T.

      Yup me too

  3. Swasti

Hi, is it available for person with dependent visa status like h4. Thanks

    • Tina

I am sure H4 visa holder cannot have any active income source. Not even active ebay selling…

      • VN25

Actually, just out of curiosity I googled it and apparently on May, 26 USCIS amended the regulations to allow H4 dependent spouses to accept employment in the US

        • Tina

          Yes
But the spouse’s H1 should be atleast 6 years old or green card should be in the stage if I140 approval stage. All H4 visa holders cannot earn

    • biscotti

You are legally not allowed to earn on H4.

      • Swasti

        Thanks all

  4. Teresa reyes

Notify me I want to do this work from home

    • Gerta

Hi Teresa, you will need to click on the link that Colin has posted above.

    • jan

Hip2Save is not doing the hiring, hon

    • nancy

      This stupid–don’t bother applying!

  5. april

Dang distraction free environment won’t work for me with a one year old and a five year old.

    • Sarah

      Hey, same here!!

  6. dary

    nothing for milwaukee wisconsin

    • April

Why don’t you apply for the Kenosha, Wisconsin location? There is only one amazon distribution center in the entire state.

    • Stephanie

It’s under the Florida center listing, it says you can live in Wisconsin!

  7. Taylor

Well jeez buying the hard non wifi internet and phone takes a lot of your money right there

    • Laura

I was thinking the same thing! You can’t even use your home phone (if you have one) because it’s supposed to be “for work only”

    • Shopper

Plug your computer into the router or modem via ethernet cable. There are adapters as well, so no need for traditional wiring. They just don’t want a spotty connection.

      • Curious

What about phone connection? I have VOIP, so that won’t work. Anyway to plug the phone cable into ethernet PC and use google voice/number?

        • rggonter

I’m also curious what everybody’s thoughts are on the [land line telephone] situation. I received a full-time seasonal offer (Florida) and I don’t think my apartment is wired for a telephone line.

Can anybody think of a workaround? I’m also curious how they would even know what you’re using..

          • Ro

check with ATT or how is in your are for home ph. I got offer for job too. But had to let it go; do not have WIN 7 and 21″ laptop/computer. Plus need second home phone line
is just a lot of requirements for the pay.

  8. Taya

Theres an opening in Mn but its not for online working…=(

  9. Joe

Wonder why it matters that you MUST have a home residence in those states….what if you own 2 houses and live at 1 of them part of the year….how does that work?

    • Laura

It’s probably for tax purposes on their end. They have to file payroll taxes for their employees and if they aren’t set up to remit taxes in on of those states, then they can’t issue W-2’s to people in those states.

      • Kris

Taxes is not a reason. They have to warehouses with in 40 minutes of my house, but CA is never on the list for their work at home.

    • Heatherr

I was wondering the same thing.

  10. Jennifer

Darn, good ol’ Indiana didn’t make the cut. 🙁

    • Lindsay

I was thinking the same. We have a distribution center in Indianapolis. I wonder if they’re hiring??

  11. Cheryl Blankenship

Interested in information on where to send resume

    • Blair

Click on the links for more information obviously…

      • Melissa

I don’t think obviously was needed. Just don’t respond 🙂

        • Blair

I’ll respond if I want to 🙂 Obviously!

          • wo"man up!"

LOL I probably shouldn’t respond. But I don’t think an online service rep job would be a good fit for someone who relies on online comments for help navigating the hip2save website and amazon’s application process… I mean, I’d be upset if I got someone on the phone who couldn’t help me. That said, I guess everyone has to learn sometime?? Obviously… Blair has a point.

            • Gilly

              Hilarious and true

  12. Laurie

So wish Louisiana was on the list I would be signing up!

  13. gamal

    Florida resident

  14. Sherri

I filled out the paperwork back on Sept. 4 and have my phone interview at 445 today!! Sooo nervous!

    • Ritya

Good luck and let us know how it goes

      • Sherri

Thank you! I haven’t had a job interview in years. I’ve been a stay at home mom. I have no clue what to expect.

    • Heather

Do you know where you have to go to fill out the paperwork? It says must be done in person.

      • Heather

I mean the I9, not the application.

        • Sherri

I completed everything so far online. The application, and the little tests that they had you complete.

        • Sherri

I just received the rest of my info. It does say the i9 has to be done in person at their closest vendor. I have no idea where those locations are or what that really means. It said I would get an email the week prior to training with more info on where to go.

          • Jill

I wonder the same thing as well

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s great! So glad to hear that! 😉

      • Sherri

Thank you!! I got the job! Can’t wait to start!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          Congrats!! 😀

          • Nicole Barrett

Collin- it seems a lot of people aren’t seeing a posting for their approved state. Is there anyway you can let them know they can apply to the existing FL or VA post as long as they live in one of the qualifying states. I live in Texas and had to apply through the FL job post and I was hired today just the same.

        • Curious

Sherri, what kind of questions did they ask you? I’m so nervous of the unexpected/out of the blue questions. I haven’t went to a job interview in over 14 yrs. Any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and congrats!

          • Sherri

They said it would last 15 minutes. I was on the phone for only 8. I only got asked 2 questions. The first was “tell me about a time when you were working customer service and you had a situation you couldn’t handle.” The second was “tell me about a time when you received bad customer service”. He told me he was pleased with my answers and offered me the job. I was so incredibly nervous about it but it was really for no reason at all. He was very pleasant and comfortable to talk to.

          • rggonter

If you do well enough on the Virtual Job Tryout they won’t even bother with interviewing you, and will just go ahead and send you an offer letter. So really try to focus during the exercise.

If you want to be doubly sure that you do well on the virtual tryout, then have a friend or family member apply while you’re sitting next to them (I applied with one email account and didn’t finish the application, then applied with another email account a few days later, and the 3 test calls they had me work through were exactly the same as before.

        • Heather B

Hi! I was wondering how you are liking the job?

  15. MamaBug

My aunt did this for a while. Great if you are not looking for something long term as they seem to rehire seasonally.

  16. Karen

    Wish Illinois was included!

  17. Nichole Peasley

    No jobs showing for NC:(

    • Nicole Barrett

click the posting for Fl and apply.

  18. Karen Smith

I am very interested in this job. How do I apply.

    • Sarah

Click on the link Collin posted…

  19. Patricia Aylor

This would be perfect. I live alone and meet all of the qualifications. Thank you for your consideration.

    • yikes, that's not a good sign.

Who are you talking to? Hip2save is not hiring.

  20. Sarah

I’m just here to get a chuckle out of these comments hahaha

    • Sandra

Me too–if they can’t figure out how to apply I’m not sure they qualify for the job!

      • kristie

Took the words right out of my mouth…

  21. cr

Which job do you apply for for the work at home customer service? The one in Seattle doesn’t list that you’ll work in a location, but the others do.

    • Bobbi

The work from home opening have “VIRTUAL” in the job opening title.

  22. Tori

No NC jobs after all. Bummer. 🙁

    • Nicole Barrett

apply to the post that says FL. I live in Texas and that was the post I applied to. I was hired today after a brief phone interview.

  23. Angela

I live in Texas, but that is not one of the listings to come up for a virtual CSA.

  24. Jacqueline Dodge

I am interested in working from he.

  25. TW

The only virtual call center jobs listed were for VA and FL :/ They must have filled up quickly!

    • Nicole Barrett

once you live in one of the states mentioned above you can still apply to the post that says FL or VA. I live in Texas and I applied to the Fl post and I was just hired today.

      • Holly

I just want to make sure I understand you clearly. If you have lived in one of the states listed, you can apply? I lived in NC for 6 years because my husband was military. I now live in CA. So does that make me eligible to apply for the NC position?

        • J

You have to currently reside in the state. The Florida position covers multiple states, including Texas.

  26. shawna

i work at amazon now and love it. but in warehouse

  27. Toni Pittario

Nothing for California? I would love to do this.

  28. J

Just started a couple of weeks ago 🙂

    • Brittany

      What do you do exactly?

      • J

Answer customer calls from home. When someone calls in or opts to use the “call me back” option from the web site, it is routed to someone like me (at home) or one of the call centers. We answer questions and address complaints.

        • Brittany

Thanks! Do you pick your shifts each week or are you on a standard schedule? In the description it sounds like the work schedule is flexible.

          • J

No problem! Depends on which position you apply for. I have a set schedule (full time) 5 days a week. My neighbor, who was just hired this week, will set their own. My position is seasonal, and we have been told that we could see schedule changes, but they will give as much notice as possible. So, sounds pretty normal to me 🙂

            • Brittany

              Thanks!

  29. Laura

Applied for the FL virtual job! I don’t have previous customer service work in person but I have been running two of my own online businesses for the past 3 years. Hopefully they will count that!

  31. Amy

Can you claim your work space, internet, and home phone on your taxes for the three-ish months you work?

  32. Wennie Stevenson

Hello, I’m Wennie Stevenson and I am a stay at home mom. I am looking for a way to work and raise my 8month old daughter. I can’t wait to hear more about this position I am interested

    • Lily

I live in North Carolina . I have tons of experience working with the public.

  38. Shelia

Completed the form only to be told no jobs in KY.

  39. PTL1

Does anyone know where the Amazon i9 center is in FL? Hope it is not too far; or do they pay for travel? Thanks much

    • Ray

someone said in FL they went to tampa, but they may have more locations in FL , this is my main concern for NC also .

      • PTL1

thank you Ray. Don’t think I can do this now, since need 21″ laptop and Win 7 or 8 etc.
and would have to buy new laptop and pay for higher upload speed.
        Does everyone have all this?

        • Ray

yvw PTL , yeah if you want a remote job you would need most of that for any job I had , systems don’t run on XP etc any-longer, and my speed is cable 70 meg , but they do supply the phone , you would need a line just for that phone I think . but I think they pay the bill.I have done all wah jobs for 5 years or more , so when I am making money with my PC I do invest into my systems to stay up to par . I use a desktop not a laptop , but either or should be good if it meets today’s standards which is what amazon asks for.. good luck PTL ..

Few other companys hiring from home I attended to a online job fair on the 8th..
          Sutherland global
          Teleflora.com
          Asurion
          Enterprise car rentals { limited to city you live near of 30 miles }
Arise { they have LLC fee of about 70 bucks } very legit company , that’s to pay for background etc cause you are a sub contractor .

          and a few more … But mind you they ask for pretty much the same technical requirements . anything under windows 7 now is pretty much like renting a vhs tape{obsolete }

          • Ray

and Convergys is looking too , they do cable type calls and direct tv ..

          • TW

I know this is pretty old, but I was wondering if you had previously worked for Arise before, Ray? Did you register and create your own independent business, or did you join an already existing business? I just finished the CSP101 course and I’m not too sure what to do.

Any help would be great, thanks!

  40. Ray

Hello all , I am really concerned about this going in person for the I9 forms, I have been hired and they didn’t need to interview me , they just gave me the offer , I live in NC and this is seasonal .. I would hate to lose this job because I have a driving situation and do work from home because of this . I doubt very very much they have a office near me in the mountains .lol and I9 forms i never had to do this for any other company’s { go in person } usually they email the form you sign it and that’s it , or go to a notary office , which is everywhere.. But if they expect me to drive 4 hours for a 2 minute I9 form , I may have to decline .. could anyone please give more feedback on this step { was the offices near you } or do can we do this other ways ?

There is nothing when I goggle and not much info in wah post about this step , but seems to be asked and a concern for many applying , wish they stated this step in app before getting hired , or else I would of ignored applying , but now I passed everything else and waiting on this , I want the job now .. again i am not being lazy but have a anxiety issues when in cars going far ..

    Thank you ,
    Ray

    • cindy
