I tried a similair deal this week for toothpaste at Rite-Aid…3.49 minus an in ad q for $2 and then a maunfacturer’s q and was told that because the balance was 1.49 I could not use my other coupon of 1.50 to make it free….this is nearly the same scenario…my rite-aid refuses to price adjust and so no freebies….very frustrating

Was it the only thing you were purchasing? The register won’t allow you to have a negative subtotal. If you had other items, the coupons WILL go though. Were you referring to the Irish Spring $3.49 use the $2 in-ad q + $1.50 IP? As long as I had other stuff in my basket, I had not trouble. I got 4 over the wk.

Maybe try a different store, or figure out which cashiers are more coupon friendly. There is 1 lady I try to avoid, but unfortunately she was working on the day I went, so I kinda cringed when I got to the counter. But she scanned all my coupons without a peep and even congratulated me on my savings.

My store did the same thing! Using both coupons exceeded the value by 1 cent so they wouldn’t take it. Boo! I hate Rite Aid!
