I think so. My daughter was 4 when she got her first AG doll, and she loved it!! Still plays with it all the time at 6
We got my younger daughter a My Generation doll when she was 2 because her sister was getting an American Girl doll. It’s a perfectly acceptable alternative for a younger child! My girls love it as much as their AG dolls! And these clothes do fit both types of dolls!

These do fit American Girl dolls. Sometimes the shoes are snug and really hard to get on. But for the price you can’t beat it! I know Maryellen will love these outfits! 😉

I bought two different sets of these last year for this price and was thrilled with them. My daughter is still happy with them.
I have so many questions –
First, I have a niece that wants an AG doll for Christmas. I don’t think she’s going to get it from Santa but she’s going to get one of the Our Generation dolls as a surprise gift sometime next spring from her hero Aunt. The OG dolls say non-poseable. Can the AG dolls be posed?
Second – and unrelated – I’m going to take her to build-a-bear for the first time. What are the best ways to save money on her in-store experience? Do they do groupons, do they e-mail coupons, do they mail them to you, etc? Can you buy sounds, scents, etc. online and have them put them in the dolls in-store – even if they’re bought off Amazon and not B-A-B?

Costco $80 for a $100 e gift card. Also sign up for a stuff for stuff account now and you get a reward just for signing up. You can buy everything even the animals online (right now a lot are 2/$35 including my little ponies ewg $25 each) and have it stuffed in store. You can change scents at anytime or get new stuffing at anytime too.
Some OG dolls are non-poseable. But they also have some that are poseable-they call them deluxe…Both my girls have the deluxe OG dolls and love them..have fun with your niece!!

The AG dolls are poseable. The OG dolls come both nonposeable and poseable. The nonposeable are described as “fashion doll” and the poseable ones are a little more money and are labeled “deluxe doll”. My kids have several of the deluxe dolls and are very happy with them. Hope this helps!

I placed my order Tuesday night and got an email today saying it was canceled. Anyone else have this happen? Now they are listed as no longer in stock on the website. I’m sad. This was going to be my daughter’s birthday present, along with the redhead doll. 🙁

Just contacted a manager about this. Supposedly, a third party vendor was supplying these. That vendor did not have them in stock. And that is why they cancelled the orders. Which is odd, considering the tracking on mine showed that it was “shipped to store.” How can something not in stock be shipped to the store?
I just went to pick up mine from ship to store. They tried to give me one outfit. They told me I ordered wrong. All blame to the customer! I told them to mark it as not picked up and I would call corporate. So that’s my next step.
I received my notification that my order was ready for pick up in store today. I went to pick it up and was given one outfit. After 20 minutes of searching and trying to find out where the order went wrong, they determined that I ordered wrong. And now I have to wait two days to return the outfit because it takes 48 hours to be able to do receipt look up with a credit card (per Guest Service employee).
Same thing here. I went to pick it up and the woman was trying to charge me 77.90+tax. after 2 hours of arguing i gave up. They said it only included one then they admitted the mistake and said it was a recall and could no longer sell it. But she didn’t mind charging me 77.90+tax. Sayonara Target
I think people need to take to Facebook to complain about this. It was a bundle, not a single outfit. Before it became unavailable, it was listed at $54.00. I think someone made a mistake and they didn’t want to stand by the price they listed on the product. They accepted payment and then backed out of their end of the contract.
I submitted a complaint with the BBB. CS was nonchalant and shaddy.

I spent a fair amount of time dealing with someone online chat today as well as customer service. I received the same run around and when I told them that this seemed like Target just not honoring the online price i was basically told they couldn’t help me.
yes. to me it was like a huge slap. to be there to pick up what i order than target turn around and wanting to charge me more than 4x times what it was. not cool. and that is why i submitted my complaint to BBB
So, I placed one Target.com ship to store order and it was canceled. Customer service is telling me that it is because of an inventory issue. My mother placed a separate order for ship to store. She received an email today saying that it was at the store. When she went to pick it up, they brought out a bowling outfit. We told them that was incorrect. After waiting 10 minutes, they come out with the four outfits that we ordered all in separate boxes (the same way they were packaged last December). However, they told her that she could only take one outfit for the 16.99 price. There is a disconnect somewhere and someone isn’t telling the truth. In this case, they clearly aren’t out of inventory, they just don’t want to honor the price.
It’s funny you mention the bowling outfit – when I was on the phone with customer service yesterday they kept saying I had ordered a Deluxe Bowling Jacket. I repeatedly told them that is not what I had ordered and they said that is what their system was showing. According to them, the reason my order was canceled as the Bowling Jacket is discontinued.
Update: my mother called guest relations for target.com and they told her that if you do ship to store it is up to the store’s department manager as to whether they honor the price. I will be interested to hear if anyone that ships to their house receives all 4 outfits.
