How cute! My husband’s job causes us to move more than I’d like and currently hubby, the kids and I are in a condo. The kids were wondering how Santa would find his way into our new home. Now I can show them this magic key π
That’s perfect! π
I have this key and it’s beautiful! Nice, solid key that we hang on the door each Christmas. It’s not cheap or hollow…nice piece to keep for a Christmas tradition!
That’s wonderful! Thanks so much for your feedback Julie!
I might add that Amazon has the same exact key for $24.99 with free prime shipping instead of the $8-$10 they’re charging here for s/h.
Disregard above about the Amazon post. I thought it was on sale on Amazon as well. Can’t figure out how to delete my post above!
12.50 is the price including shipping.
Yes, as stated above, I realized that after I posted above but there’s no option to delete my post.
Question…my 7-year-old daughter has always wondered how he gets in (no chimney), but she hasn’t really pressed us for an answer (she’s just happy to see presents). Would it look too weird if I got this key? I have a feeling she might wonder why he never needed a key before, but suddenly he does this year. Thoughts?
I would just tell her that santa needed you to put the magic key out so it saves hin time from having to dig for his magic key.
Tell her you have always left the door unlocked so he could come in but this year finally got the key in the mail…that you ordered years ago…?
My father in law started this tradition for the grandkids where one of Santa’s crazier elves takes the sleigh out a few weeks before Christmas. He leaves some silly presents and candy, inexpensive little things. Last year he “wrecked” and left behind a few sleigh pieces and the kids had a fun time coming up with ideas for what the pieces did. So maybe the key could be something that an elf dropped while double checking if your daughter was good this year. Or maybe that a few special families get picked to hold onto a spare key for Santa in case he ever loses his copy. Or it could just magically appear on the tree one day and you can let your daughter come up with her own idea of what it means. π
Save your money don’t buy this key. There are other ways that you can give the magic of Christmas to kids without spending any money. Use your imagination.
Just do Christmas without “magic”…our parents always tagged gifts with “mom/dad or grandma, etc”….I respected the truth more than being let down when another child spills the beans at school.
What I was trying to say was you don’t need to buy anything to give the magic of santa clause to kids.
We had a key like this when I was little! I loved it. π We always get one or two special presents from Santa each year and the rest of our gifts are from each other, i.e. From Mom & Dad, from myself or my brother. βΊοΈ Even today at 22 and 28 my brother and I get a present or two from Santa. π It’s always felt special to me and brings me back to my childhood, it’s a lifelong tradition for us no matter what age. β€οΈ
