Anyone have experience with these? We are looking to paint over some darker colors. At this time we do not have colors picked out. Can I order untainted and take back to tint once we decide? TIA
You are supposed to be able to buy untinted and tint later but last time this deal came around and I tried to do that the employee basically forced me to tint on the same day because it was a special promotion. I would call your store to make sure that doesn’t happen to you.
We painted a light color over a dark color also and it was fine. We did a primer and 2 coats.
I did this last time and tinted later
without any problems. Keep your receipt (if you lose it and pay by ATM or credit card, they can find it in their system w/o a receipt) just in case! I had the room professionally painted. The painters were impressed with the quality of the paint, but needed 2 coats to paint over a darker color. HTH
Thanks for your replies. We ordered the paint based on two coats. I called and they said I could bring it back once I pick my color. Trying to get some lingering home improvements done before baby #2 arrives. I’ve been holding out for this sale to pop up again. Thanks Collin once again 😀

Just picked ours up tonight (thanks, Collin!)…on line it says til tomorrow but in store it says today only. However our store’s signs said buy one get one free. We happened to need four gallons so it was fine, but not sure if we needed only three if the third one would ring up 50% off or not. Doesn’t matter, but for now, my husband has enough to keep him self busy for the fall 😏
We picked up paint today and our store also said “buy one get one free ” but they actually rang up as half price so you can get an odd number of cans if you need to. Picked up 10 gallons for some upcoming projects for about $140 !
