We got one of these for our wedding reception…. Used it to make a photo album of our guests – had each one write a funny memory about us, or a piece of advice, on scrap book paper, then we made it into an album- love looking back through it! Years later we used it for a cousin’s baby shower, and then our baby shower to do the same thing…. makes a really fun and inexpensive keepsake!

      Awesome idea!

    • Julie L

We did the same thing, sort of. We had (really cheap, disposable) cameras on all the tables at reception. The prints provided all kinds of hilarious footage that the professional photographer could never have captured. People had a lot of fun with them and it gave us a chance to enjoy the party all over again and to take a look at fun things we otherwise would have never known happened!

      • Judy

We liked these because we didn’t have to round up or develop any disposables, and we attached the photos to the paper immediately so we didn’t have to try to match them up later

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Love that idea! Thanks for sharing Judy!

    Is this like Polaroid pictures?

    • Heather C.

      Yep. 🙂

    • Judy

      Yes

    • babyregistry101

      Thanks!

  3. Aleshia

These were clearanced out at my local toys r us a couple weeks ago. They were normally 80$ and I got them for 20$ each! Great christmas gifts for the teen girls in my family.

    • Aleshia

It was the polaroid 300 instant cameras!

    • Stacy

What section of Toys R Us would you find these in? By the tablets, etc?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Oh wow! Great find!

  4. Vee

How much is the film? Thanks

    • babyregistry101

I was wondering too, from what they are showing on Walmart.com it seems like a little over $1 per picture, if you are buying 20 pictures?

    • daniela

Film normally comes out to $1.00 a pic but if you look on Amazon they have bulk 50 ct cases for $35 or less. I usually accumulate Amazon points on my CC and buy 50 or 60 count for $25. There is a huge learning curve with this camera, especially since there is no digital view so a lot of the pics will be thrown away or do what I do, collage the bad ones and make art! Just try to be close to the object you are taking a pic of and make sure the sun is not super shining.

Site is not working for me 😩 This is a great price! Not giving up ✌🏼️ My daughter has this on her Christmas List!

    • Diamond711

Me either! But I’m going to keep trying.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hoping it works for your soon so that you can grab one!

  6. Heather

The film can be pricey. I found the best place to buy it is at Michaels craft store with a 50% off coupon 😉 my daughter is 12 and loves this camera for just doing fun pictures with friends.

    • Angela

      Awesome tip!thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great tip!

  7. Melissa

I have one of these. It is fun to have. I recently used it for our church Harvest Party. It made a nice little keepsake for the attendees. Btw, the photos are credit card size.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for your feedback Melissa!

  8. Tracy

This is a great deal! Any recommendations on age? I think my seven year old would love this but am wondering if she’s a bit young given the cost of the film. Thank you!

    • Jacks

Age 7 is about right. We let our kids, aged 4-8 use ours, but we stress that they can only take one picture of something. It’s quite different from this digital age where you can take the same shot 20 times and delete the ones that don’t work out. There are ten photos in a pack of film, so you can easily control that they cannot use more than that at one time.

    • Melissa

I think we are all spoiled by digital cameras that allow us to take so many photos without having to worry about the cost – or whether the shots are great or not. This is very different. But if she understands that she needs to be careful, she should be ok. Maybe you could “budget” the shots.

  9. LaQuita

Great price! Havent seen these cheaper at any other place – and you can always keep your receipt an return it if you find it cheaper during Black Friday but I dont think the price will go down any less – This is on my daughters Christmas list! Thanks so much

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You are so welcome!

  10. Katie

my daughter will love this! Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

  11. Julie C

Does anyone know if you can get this price in store? The site is not allowing me to order no matter what store I choose. Even though it says they are in stock for pick up.

    • Keri

      Call the store and ask.

  12. Keri

I got one, also they have a double pack of the wide variety film on clearance for 13.88.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet@

    • Melissa b

I placed an order for the camera and this film too, but when I picked it up the film was “mini”. I feel dooped bc it said “wide variety” and the image pictured a wide variety film, but the order confirmation says mini?!?

      • daniela

This camera creates credit card size pics, can’t get them any bigger than that. So it will always be mini. What changes is the style of the film. Some have Hello Kitty on the borders, or glitter and rainbows. I like buying the super hero ones and wide as well.

        • Melissa B.

So you can get “wide” film for the InstaxMini camera? I guess that is what I am confused about. Thanks for your comment and to Collin for posting the deal!!!!

  13. Anu1c.

Is this equivalent to the Polaroid camera?

  14. pang

    It seems out of stock…

    • Jessica

it’s telling me there are 5 left!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Looks like its back, and available for $40 again!

  15. Cora

I’m seeing it at $47 from my end.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am seeing it back at $40 again if you want to snag it!

  16. Libby

    Same here $47

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Price appears to be back down again if you still want to grab it Libby!

      • Libby

Got it plus the marked down wide film – thanks Keri & Collin!

  17. Heather

Price went up. I just tried to get another one.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Price has gone back down 🙂

  18. tanyathao

the price went back to $40 again

    • Tracy
