I’ve been looking at the Elite line in the kenmore dishwashers, but those if found on Clearance can cost up to $800, after all coupons and cash back from shopyourway and shopathome this one will cost me $274 including installation kit ($17.99) and tax ($25), But I am still it sure if I should buy it 😁 anyone have the Elite? Any input is much appreciated.

We have the Kenmore Elite. Ours is 8 years old. While it has lasted 8 years (we take really good care of our appliances and it looks brand new but we know it won’t last much longer), we have been really disappointed in it. Silverware does not get cleaned well. Most things really need to be rinsed well. We have had it serviced for cleanings and have cleaned it ourselves. It seems that any small chunks will clog it up. All in all I would not recommend it. Hope that helps.
Kelly appliances do not last like they use to. 7-10 years is all anybody should expect out of appliances nowadays. Sadly.
I’ve sold appliances for 10 plus years. The kenmore elite dishwashers are the best dishwashers. Hold out for Black Friday if you really want the elite. You can probably get a good deal. While this dishwasher looks great on the outside its just a cheap dishwasher on the inside. Racks aren’t nylon coated and there’s no stainless steel tub.
Thank you all for your input. I don’t usually use the dishwasher, and even with a new one I won’t be using it more than twice a week so I guess it just comes down to how much am I willing to spend. But I really appreciate everyone who commented.

Don’t waste your $$ on an Elite dishwasher. We’ve had ours about a month and we hate it. Unless you rinse every single scrap of food from every dish/glass/cup/silverware/etc. you will end up having to re-wash everything by hand. This morning I unloaded the dishwasher. My son had put a cup he’d used for tea on the top rack, but had forgotten to rinse it. It came out looking exactly as it had when it went in.
Run far away from the Elite. Worst dishwasher we’ve ever owned.

Seems like a GREAT deal… Just be careful in dealing with Sears.com. I had to return a dryer cord ( purchased with the dryer online) and it was a NIGHTMARE returning the cord to the store. I used paypal, and they could not bring the sale up on the register. My husband went in without a receipt first, and they spent 30 minutes working on it. I went back the next day WITH a receipt, and it was another 30 minutes and even the store manager had trouble getting it done. They were friendly, but their systems are a mess!
I also had a problem with Kmart about 18 months ago, so I am kind of leary of Sears/Kmart. Just keep your receipts and make certain of what you are buying….
