Easy Tiramisu Recipe (Prepare In just 10 Minutes)

yield: 6 SERVINGS

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature (see substitute idea below)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Amaretto liquor or Brandy (optional but yummy!)
  • 1 and 1/2 cups espresso or STRONG coffee at room temperature - sweetened if desired
  • 1 package Lady Fingers (such as the Savoiardi brand; found in cookie isle)
  • Cocoa powder for dusting the top
  • 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese Substitution: Cream together 6 oz. softened cream cheese, 2 Tablespoons sour cream, and 3 Tablespoons heavy cream

Directions

1

Beat whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form in a medium bowl.

2

Stir in mascarpone cheese and amaretto.

3

Dip lady fingers in coffee and place in an 8x8 pan to make the first layer - you can fit about 7 cookies in each layer.

4

Spread half of the whipped cream mixture on top of first layer of lady fingers. Repeat process with second layer of lady fingers and cream mixture.

5

Dust the top of dessert with cocoa powder using a sifter or hand held kitchen strainer tool.

6

Refrigerate for about 4-8 hours, it gets even better in the fridge and is a perfect make-ahead dessert. Serves about 6.

easy tiramisu recipe

Hip Tip: Do not make the mistake of soaking ladyfingers too long in the coffee because they will get mushy and fall apart. If you are serving a crowd, you can easily double this recipe and place in a larger 9×13 baking dish.

How to make Tiramisu Hip2Save.com

I’ve made this recipe twice, love this recipe! If you enjoy drinking your coffee a little sweetened, then consider sweetening the coffee.

Thx ..cant wait to try this..p.s. I so love that dish… where did you ever find it ????.

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

I think it’s from Ross or Homegoods 🙂 brand is called Simple Dining – thanks

  7. Sophie

I do the raw egg version as well. We don’t do coffee in our house so we leave that out as well as the amaretto. That way the kids like it too. And switch the cocao powder with grated milk chocolate (the good kind), it makes a big difference. Also Aldi has big packs of lady fingers right now for around $1.79 I think (part of their Italian priano line).

    • trish

What do you sub for the coffee?

      • Sophie

Nothing, we just leave it out and it still tastes delicious. You need to make it a day in advance, refrigerate and the cookies will be soft by the next day. I grated the chocolate just before serving.

        • Krista

I make a kid friendly one substituting cooles hot cocoa for the coffe and a 1/2 tsp vanilla added for extra flavor. They love it!

  8. Olga

    Mmmm

  9. Lolie

  10. lorena

My favorite. Thanks for receipe 🙂

  11. Micki

Yum! Trader Joe’s also has really good lady fingers. They are seasonal, and they are in season now.

    • Queenmum

I bought 5 boxes at Trader Joe’s yesterday. My husband thought I’d lost my mind 😊

      • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Haha I will need to check these out! – thanks for the tip.

  12. Mom2Two

Yay! Drooling now! Always thought its too expensive to buy!

  13. MP

Will definitely try this! Sounds delicious & easy to make. I usually make graham cracker no bake layer cake & my family loves it. It’s also super easy to make. Although I tweak the recipe a bit by adding sour cream to it. It adds so much richness to it.

    • M

I prefer mines with sour cream too! It’s too bland without sour cream.

  14. Kathy

1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature (see substitute idea below)

I don’t see any substitutions listed. What are they?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Should read :

1 cup Mascarpone Cheese Substitution: Cream together 6 oz. softened cream cheese, 2 Tablespoons sour cream, and 3 Tablespoons heavy cream.

      Thanks!

  15. Rebecca

I would change the liquor to Marsala wine which is the tradional liquor for Triamisu.

  16. grofitnik

I bought too much marscapone cheese. Any chance I could freeze this after I make a batch?

  17. Priya

How much water should we add in coffee .. and do you mean add cheese n brandy in to wipe cream icing?

  18. Denise

I use kahula flavored coffee to eliminate the alcohol issue without losing flavor

    • Melisa

That’s such a great idea for kiddos!

  19. Gina

Do you mix the amaretto with coffee? Or pour it over?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Yes I think I added with coffee 👍

      • Gina

        Thank you

  20. Mjh

Can you use rum extract instead of liquor?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes I’m sure that’d work too. Thanks!

  30. Theresa Ayers

    Can this recipe be frozen

  31. Theresa

Made it for Mother’s Day. It was a hit!!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Oh yay!! Yum!

  32. Anne

Great recipe – we have made this several times and it always turns out great.
Sometimes cream is a pain to get to set up in peaks. Once you put in the marcapone, it comes together nicely, so I just blend the cream pretty well and add the marcapone in big spoonfuls and beat it with a mixer until it is fluffy without any runniness.
You can sometimes find lady finger cookies at the Dollar Tree! Shelf stable cream from Trader Joe’s is also good to have around.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow great tips and thanks so much for sharing!
