Welcome to the New Hip2Save Site…
So let me start off by saying that I know change is hard. Very hard. I haven’t changed the Hip2Save site since 2009. Yes, 2009, when I moved from Blogger to WordPress. That is a crazy long time to not update or change a website.
So it’s time. Grab your coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and check out the new site…
I sure hope you like the new site as much as I do! I understand that it may take a bit to get comfortable with the new look so please take some time to get familiar with the site and feel free to leave a comment below with any feedback you have. We hope that you find the site to be more user-friendly, easier to navigate, totally responsive on all of your devices, and that it makes you feel excited to part of this amazing Hip2Save Community!
Here are just a few of the new features:
TWO Ways to View the Site – Yes, we now have TWO different options to view posts on the site! We have the view that you all are familiar with (just like on the old site) – you can just scroll down and continue scrolling to see all of the current deals that have been posted. OR, switch to the grid-view and view 12 deals all at once in small blocks (this is a great option if you’re in a time crunch and want to quickly see the latest deals). You’ll see the image of the deal on these blocks as well as the deal description. If interested in a deal, just click on the block to view the full post. And the best part about both views is that you can easily toggle between the two options!
Navigation Menu – Be sure to check out our new Navigation Menu at the top of the site! This is where you’ll find most everything you’re looking for. Search our online deals (you can even search by category like photo deals, toy deals, and more), search store deals, check out our latest Restaurant deals, and latest freebies and coupons. Plus, easily access free printables available in the “Tips” section, and don’t forget to browse the yummy recipes and frugal DIY ideas.
Our Navigation Menu Follows You – Yes, the navigation menu will now follow you down the site as you browse all the deals so you will no longer have to scroll back up when you decide that you’d like to check out a different section of the site.
Easily View Store Deals – You now can easily view the weekly store match-ups and store guides for each of the popular stores on Hip2Save including Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid. Just click on the store name in the navigation menu, and you will be taken to the current deals for that store. In addition, you’ll see buttons at the top of each page that link to the current store match-ups and the store guide which contains the store’s coupon policy and more information regarding how to shop at each specific store.
HIP List – Although this is not a new feature, I just wanted to mention it as you can now easily toggle between the HIP list, the grid-view, and the normal full-deal site view. If you’re new or not familiar with the HIP list, it’s a nice feature that allows you to save posts to check out at a later time. Have you ever had moments when you’re either out of time or out of printer ink, or both, and you really want to keep track of a “HIP” deal and/or print a valuable coupon in the next day or two? This is where the HIP list comes into play! 🙂
I’m in LOVE with it!!! I have to admit, I had a HUGE moment of panic when the site was down…but, it was well worth the wait! Great job and I love the hiplist (not sure if you had that before and I missed it?!).

OMG same! I was in a panick thinking I was missing deals and I’m on vacation..lol.. But still getting deals while I’m away! I had no problems with the old site it was easy to use I hope to love the new one just as much!

I am looking forward to checking it out glas I was busy today and didn’t have to go through withdrawals of the site being down. I am one who has a hard time with change but I have been forcing myself to changes slowly thanks for keeping us on our toes with all the Hip Deals!!

The only thing that I am not fond of for the new site is all the empty space on the right hand side of the screen. Other than that, I like the set up.

I got mine today too! I was checking out their dvds…they have a lot on sale..some good kids Christmas ones among others, and its free shipping! Just an idea. 🙂
I put mine towards an Apple TV. They have the older version for 54.99 in store. It doesn’t say that on the sign but it rang up that way. Don’t forget about price matching. I got this jamz alarm clock that they had priced at 79.99. I found it for 33.99 on both Amazon and Walmart so I just called and had them price match it over the phone. Happy Shopping!
I just got my bb gift code as well…but when I try to check out, it says it’s invalid??
bestbuy.com isn’t recognizing the serial and pin, you’ll have to place the order via phone. The rep I spoke to said they’ve been experiencing issues across board with these numbers but will enter them manually for you and contact Visa to mark the used codes as used/inactive after your order is placed. Hope this helps!

They just sent an email regarding best buy code saying ooops we are sorry for the technical difficulties u r having we will send another code shortly
In case anyone was interested in knowing, Best Buy price matches Amazon (among a few others). You have to call, ask them to price match and place your order by phone.
I got an email from visa checkout saying the following: We apologize you might be experiencing problems using your BestBuy.com promo code. It is a known issue and we are working to resolve. Please be patient and we will send through a new promo code shortly.
I never got the code the first time though. Hopefully it comes through OK the second time!

I couldn’t figure out why it looked the same and realized that I was using the app. Ugh….I’ve been sick so I thought I was losing my mind. Went to the website and it looks great so far. I’ve been following you for a long time so I will be sad to see the old one go but I also understand that change is good.

Yay your back! I was in panic, i deleted the app and reinstalled it lol thinking it was my phone. Lol I love the new site especially the grid view. I never knew about the hip list. Is there a way on the app to do that? Sometimes it’s hard scrolling through past deals that I have to find from previous days. Thanks
Hi Linda! Thanks for the feedback. As far as the HIP list goes on the app, we don’t have that feature added… but stay tuned.
Ya I’ve been wanting the hip list on the app too! Always want to bookmark deals and be able to find them easily when I can get back to them 🙂
There is an app called My Pocket and you can save any page on the Internet with it to read later. I always send Cvs deals for example to My Pocket and it’s much easier to find what I need this way.
I love my mobile app but I didn’t know about the hip list either, shoot I had never even visited the website! Lol! 🙂

This is great. I loved the old site but also love the new one. I too had a moment of panic when the site would not load on my phone. I cleared my cache & asked my teenage daughter for help lol. I really do appreciate all that hip2save does.

I was hoping a new design was on its way when your graphics started changing! So far, I’m happy to see the grid view. I found that I liked looking at the site more on the app on my phone because of its view, but sometimes a deal required use of the computer. Now, we get the best of both worlds. Congrats on moving forward, and I’ll be sure to let you know if I find any bugs.

1.. Profile pic takes too much header space
2. Switch to grid view is not working ( Env : Windows 7 , Browser : Chrome )
3. As other user mentioned , lot of white space on the bottom , right and left of screen

Yeah I have to agree. I use my phone alot to access hip2save on the app. Well I normally use the search bar on the actually website bc there is no search bar on the hip2save app. And i like the look of grid but it was giving me all sorts of problems i just got frustrated and used google.
I love this! Had a moment of shock when I first arrived at your home page. But after reading the post and looking around I am thrilled. I love the option of the grid view! Great change!
