Welcome to the New Hip2Save Site…
So let me start off by saying that I know change is hard. Very hard. I haven’t changed the Hip2Save site since 2009. Yes, 2009, when I moved from Blogger to WordPress. That is a crazy long time to not update or change a website.
So it’s time. Grab your coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and check out the new site…
I sure hope you like the new site as much as I do! I understand that it may take a bit to get comfortable with the new look so please take some time to get familiar with the site and feel free to leave a comment below with any feedback you have. We hope that you find the site to be more user-friendly, easier to navigate, totally responsive on all of your devices, and that it makes you feel excited to part of this amazing Hip2Save Community!
Here are just a few of the new features:
TWO Ways to View the Site – Yes, we now have TWO different options to view posts on the site! We have the view that you all are familiar with (just like on the old site) – you can just scroll down and continue scrolling to see all of the current deals that have been posted. OR, switch to the grid-view and view 12 deals all at once in small blocks (this is a great option if you’re in a time crunch and want to quickly see the latest deals). You’ll see the image of the deal on these blocks as well as the deal description. If interested in a deal, just click on the block to view the full post. And the best part about both views is that you can easily toggle between the two options!
Navigation Menu – Be sure to check out our new Navigation Menu at the top of the site! This is where you’ll find most everything you’re looking for. Search our online deals (you can even search by category like photo deals, toy deals, and more), search store deals, check out our latest Restaurant deals, and latest freebies and coupons. Plus, easily access free printables available in the “Tips” section, and don’t forget to browse the yummy recipes and frugal DIY ideas.
Our Navigation Menu Follows You – Yes, the navigation menu will now follow you down the site as you browse all the deals so you will no longer have to scroll back up when you decide that you’d like to check out a different section of the site.
Easily View Store Deals – You now can easily view the weekly store match-ups and store guides for each of the popular stores on Hip2Save including Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid. Just click on the store name in the navigation menu, and you will be taken to the current deals for that store. In addition, you’ll see buttons at the top of each page that link to the current store match-ups and the store guide which contains the store’s coupon policy and more information regarding how to shop at each specific store.
HIP List – Although this is not a new feature, I just wanted to mention it as you can now easily toggle between the HIP list, the grid-view, and the normal full-deal site view. If you’re new or not familiar with the HIP list, it’s a nice feature that allows you to save posts to check out at a later time. Have you ever had moments when you’re either out of time or out of printer ink, or both, and you really want to keep track of a “HIP” deal and/or print a valuable coupon in the next day or two? This is where the HIP list comes into play! 🙂
Okay so I’ve been following your site since 2010 so this may take some time for me to get used to! Lol The only problem I’m seem to be having is the pictures are not loading that go with each post. Hopefully that works itself out…So happy for you and thanks from the bottom of my heart for all you do bringing awesome savings to so many families!
Thank you for the comment and we will definitely look into the image loading issue. We did fix some bugs, so hopefully the site is running and loading images faster now.

Guess I picked a good day to paint my house! I usually check the site several times but I was too busy today and then I was shocked when the mew site came up! I still like the old look but that’s just me,,,,slow to change. : )

I thought something was wrong with my iPad. I updated my apps today and
hip2save happened to be one of them. I kept getting the page with ” Under Construction”
on it. So glad to know that all is well!

I like the way the new site looks. I may have missed it, but is there a way to see the desktop version on the mobile device? On the mobile device it doesn’t give the option to look at just the Pampers rewards or Kellogg’s rewards like the desktop does.
Thanks much for the heads up on this… and you’re right, it doesn’t appear to be working correctly on mobile. I am emailing my team about this so hopefully it’s an issue that can be resolved soon.

I love the grid view i always find my self going back to posts from the day before so i used to only do it on the app would take so long to find it on the site.

Collin, I always check the hip2save app. Is it better to check the actual website? I don’t think I’ve ever been on it! I just assumed that the app had the same things as the site. I hope I haven’t been missing deals!!

Yes, currently it’s just the new site that has been updated. Stay tuned, though, as we will hopefully be adding features to the app! 🙂

Love the new look! Just earlier today my husband and I were talking about how much we have saved and have been blessed for the past 4 years because of Hip2save. During the down time I had the chance to view the video you posted there and I was so moved by your story. You really have an incredible story and I’m so overjoyed for you and how you have overcome all those challenges. You are an inspiration and know that because of your courage to find yourself and help others, many will be encouraged to do the same. I think that it looks great. Fresh new looks always make one feel better 🙂 My only compliant is with the navigation menu following down the screen, it takes up almost half of my screen. I can’t see a full post without the blue covering it up. But……I still LOVE hip2save and was panicking earlier when I seen the hardhat! I can overlook anything just to have the site back up!! 🙂 Thanks for everything the team does!!!

Wow, wow Wow!! The new site is amazing! It’s easy to navigate, love how organized everything is, and how things like the “Rewards” are all compiled. Awesome job and congratulations. The photos are amazing for each category. My absolute favorite is all you guys in the “Connect with us” photo. That is perfect!! Also just noticed and loved how there is a spell checker in the comments. 🙂 I feel like we all moved up in the world! lol This site is the best, thanks Collin and Crew!

I really like the new grid view style option (slickdeals has this also and it’s so much easier to view at a glance) but I can’t help but feel like the image banners at the top of the pages are really out of proportion with the rest of the site, taking up half of the viewable screen (Safari). I don’t need or desire half of my screen to be a banner or an image or a logo, I would rather see more rows of deals in a grid space, etc. Just my opinion on the main site (browser based, not mobile). Everything looks really clean and slick otherwise.

Holy macaroni!!! I’ve been following you since 2010, so this is a BIG change. I’m always on my mobile… And my first impression is- cute color combos, and awesome font… looks good! Will take a few days to get to know the ropes again, but I’m sure we’ll all adjust just fine! 😊

Love the new site, especially the grid view! I am having trouble accessing the “Deals” because the “Videos” tab is in the way of the dropbox and to scroll down in deals the mouse highlights videos.

Totally loving it! Thanks for all you do to help all of us save so much.. I have saved so much money after finding Hip 2 Save a couple years ago. But where oh where is Ma’s voice telling us it isn’t your Mother’ coupon site. IT’S HIP 2 SAVE! I will never forget the first time I scrolled over the lady in the rocking chair and Ma’s voice came up. Bless her heart. I loved her spunk and so looked forward to when she was featured on your deal videos! You and the crew totally ROCK!!!!!

The only thing I was wondering about is that I cannot see the number of comments on all posts. Some have a circle with a number and some don’t, even though I saw comments were made.
