Welcome to the New Hip2Save Site…
So let me start off by saying that I know change is hard. Very hard. I haven’t changed the Hip2Save site since 2009. Yes, 2009, when I moved from Blogger to WordPress. That is a crazy long time to not update or change a website.
So it’s time. Grab your coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, and check out the new site…
I sure hope you like the new site as much as I do! I understand that it may take a bit to get comfortable with the new look so please take some time to get familiar with the site and feel free to leave a comment below with any feedback you have. We hope that you find the site to be more user-friendly, easier to navigate, totally responsive on all of your devices, and that it makes you feel excited to part of this amazing Hip2Save Community!
Here are just a few of the new features:
TWO Ways to View the Site – Yes, we now have TWO different options to view posts on the site! We have the view that you all are familiar with (just like on the old site) – you can just scroll down and continue scrolling to see all of the current deals that have been posted. OR, switch to the grid-view and view 12 deals all at once in small blocks (this is a great option if you’re in a time crunch and want to quickly see the latest deals). You’ll see the image of the deal on these blocks as well as the deal description. If interested in a deal, just click on the block to view the full post. And the best part about both views is that you can easily toggle between the two options!
Navigation Menu – Be sure to check out our new Navigation Menu at the top of the site! This is where you’ll find most everything you’re looking for. Search our online deals (you can even search by category like photo deals, toy deals, and more), search store deals, check out our latest Restaurant deals, and latest freebies and coupons. Plus, easily access free printables available in the “Tips” section, and don’t forget to browse the yummy recipes and frugal DIY ideas.
Our Navigation Menu Follows You – Yes, the navigation menu will now follow you down the site as you browse all the deals so you will no longer have to scroll back up when you decide that you’d like to check out a different section of the site.
Easily View Store Deals – You now can easily view the weekly store match-ups and store guides for each of the popular stores on Hip2Save including Target, Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid. Just click on the store name in the navigation menu, and you will be taken to the current deals for that store. In addition, you’ll see buttons at the top of each page that link to the current store match-ups and the store guide which contains the store’s coupon policy and more information regarding how to shop at each specific store.
HIP List – Although this is not a new feature, I just wanted to mention it as you can now easily toggle between the HIP list, the grid-view, and the normal full-deal site view. If you’re new or not familiar with the HIP list, it’s a nice feature that allows you to save posts to check out at a later time. Have you ever had moments when you’re either out of time or out of printer ink, or both, and you really want to keep track of a “HIP” deal and/or print a valuable coupon in the next day or two? This is where the HIP list comes into play! 🙂

Trying to use Hip List feature and am logged in but say user creditials not correct (3011) Would love to have this feature in the app. I am constantly checking throughout day and wish I could mark the posts i want to come back to after work.
So sorry that you are having HIP list issues… I am emailing my team about this. Also, I am hoping to add the HIP list feature to the app.

Great job. I love your improved site. Before I came across your site I tried many others. I actually stop browsing their site because their setup wasn’t appealing. Not to be disrespectful to them. I’m an individual who has difficulty reading online because of the font, glare, etc. I stuck with your site because it was easy to read (font etc) and your personality and pretty much the individuals you attract are pretty positive…Long story short, I loved your site before and I am definitely in love with your site now. It’s beautiful.

Grid view rocks! Great idea. One question though, when I click on a specific deal and it takes me away from the list how can I get back to where I was without having to start at the top again and scroll down? I hope this makes sense. Thank you.

I was freaking out for a bit when I couldn’t get on the site for a bit.. I have ocd when it comes to checking this app 😉 I have to just say thank you to all of you at hip to save along with helping me save $$ to get through my husbands unemployment two years ago to helping me fill two 🎁toys for tots 🎁donation boxes myself affordably at the drive I set up at my job every year which is my favorite way to pay it forward!! I really like the background color, and the easier navigation to web site! Can you make these revisions on your own, or do you hire a company to re-do? I would imagine this a big investment to get updated! Love how you can see all the links, the HIP list posted on side bar. Very cool! PS. You have the best phone app as well!

I’ve followed hip2save since 2009 and remember those couple of horrible days when you were offline switching to WordPress. I’m glad this transition was seamless and didn’t result in a blackout 🙂 I couldn’t handle another one!

I love the redesign! The grid view is awesome! I use the app 99% of the time, but I pulled out my laptop to check it out, and it looks great!! I found myself clicking to page 6364 and using grid view to browse through the deals and posts from 2008 (why yes I DO have way too much shampoo and conditioner, and you deserve another black Friday in Jamaica!) Great work Collin and the hip2save team!!

I love the new site! But I’m having trouble accessing the grid view and my hip list 🙁 I click on each of them but it remains on classic view. Should I be using a specific browser? I have tried both Chrome and Firefox. Thanks!

Id really like to see – within the store deals of the week (like for wags or target) a “jump to” option. Sometimes when I’m running out the door for something specific, I try to scroll down for the stores that are nearby for the section that I’m looking for. It would be awesome to have an option at the top to just jump to the section that I’m looking for!
