Samsung TVIf you’re in the market for a TV, you may want to head on over to Target.com where this Samsung 48″ Class 2160p 120Hz Smart Ultra HD Quad Core TV  is reduced to $599.99 shipped (regularly $899.99). In addition, you’ll score a FREE $100 Target gift card with your purchase, which is like paying just $499.99 for the TV! Plus, if you’re a REDcard holder, you’ll score an EXTRA 5% off this TV!

*As a price comparison, this same TV is going for the reduced price of $599.99 on BestBuy.com too… HOWEVER, the Best buy deal doesn’t come with a gift card.

FYI – TV deals aren’t my specialty, so while this seems like a great deal to me, please let us know if I’m missing something or if there are better deals elsewhere. I get entirely too confused with all of the different TV models, features etc HELP! 😉

(Thanks, Sandra!)

Any idea how long this sale will run?

I bought the 55″ version of this TV last week. So far, so good. The reviews note that it’s not particularly good with movies, but is excellent with fast-motion sports. It’s also not truly 120 hz refresh rate. It’s actually 60 hz. For the price, this is a good TV!

    • Jennifer

It says 120Hz. How can you tell it’s 60Hz?

        • Katrina

Or how the “company” can say. 🙂

Does anyone know if you don’t have HD programming with your carrier, will the HD TV work okay?

    • Jennifer

Yes, but it may actually look worse than the picture you’re used to.

U just won’t be able to watch the hd channels. I have an hd tv but i don’t have an hd box on one of my tvs with Comcast and it works fine

    • Christopher Wilson

Non HD service will work, but it will look horrible at this size IMO. If you have cable you might get locals in HD without a box by plugging the cable line directly into the tv and doing a channel scan. They likely won’t be on the proper channel numbers but unless your provider encrypts them they’ll show.

So my local walmart didn’t sell out of the 55 inch roku smart tvs….got it for $340…

Woohoo! So happy they were still available for your Shane! Great find!

I ended up buying a tv at costco because of their warranty. The warranty is three years–one manufacturer and two years costco

    • Laura

Me too! For the same reasons!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Thanks for sharing Beth. Good to know 😉

That price is still too high

My order had been cancelled after waiting for 13 days and still didn’t get pick up notice. Order status all the time showed “on the way to store”. Called customer service also said the same thing. But Target.com still post same product $899 and will get in 4- 7 days. Now I need to pay $100 more cost to buy in other store who also offered the same price Target was that time. No more truth Target for big item like TV anymore.
