Ulta is horrible online …I was supposed to get a free 5 piece serving set with a fragrance purchase on Black Friday and it wasn’t in the box I received yesterday even though it stated it was on the packing slip . I called customer service and after being on hold for 15 minutes was told they were sold out and oh well too bad for me . I missed out on the free item and their customer service is terrible . I will never order from them online again .
I’m not impressed with Ulta service in store either. Sephora blows them away for service.
Online customer service has always worked out well for me but my in store experiences aren’t always as pleasant. I tried using the $3.00 Real Techniques coupons when the brushes were BOGO 50% off so I bought enough to total more than $10.00 so I could add on the $3.50/$10.00 coupon as well and my cashier was just not willing to scan them. The coupon states “one per purchase”, which apparently means one per purchase. I explained to the cashier that it means one per purchased item but she wouldn’t budge. I still bought them so I wouldn’t hold up the line but I’m returning them and will purchase the same sponges at Walgreens where I can actually use my coupons.

I went to Ulta at the mall but the Burts Bees produces were on sale for $4.99 instead of $5 each. I bought 2 Burt Bees lip sets but they wouldn’t let me use a coupon because the total was $9.98 instead of $10. I showed the cashier the email showing the items were supposed to be $5 apiece but she just said that in store they $4.99 and I would need to find another item to add to my purchase to use a coupon. Does anyone know if this how Ulta always operates? I can’t believe they won’t let you use the coupon because of a 2 cent difference.

Kinda off topic.. same thing with Macys.. called lst nite.. was on hold 45 mins.. gave up … tryed this morn ..on hold again 30 mins ..gave up …jst hung up with them after almost 2 hours … jst to b told …. well ….until supply of item lasts .. I ordered 3 hours into the sale .. was on order when I checked out .. now they have none left …uuuugggg. I was going to gift it to my friend..who is in the hospital …

I get your frustration. I made an order online at Walmart within 10 minutes of their black friday sale going live (I stayed up until 3am eastern time to do this!). Today I received an email saying one of my items will likely be refunded due to a supply issue. But they can’t give information on when I may possibly receive this refund or if it may still go through. They’re “working on it”. It was a Christmas gift I was so excited to snag!
That’s the worst! That happened to me on a recent Nike.com order. I got an email FOUR DAYS later saying my item was out of stock and my order was canceled. I used my PayPal balance from selling stuff on eBay to make the purchase and long story short, the money is finally back in my PayPal acct after almost 2 weeks. Super frustrating.

Thanks, I got a couple of the burt’s bees sets for teacher gifts then some gifts for myself! 🙂 My total after coupon came out to $39 but the perfume set still showed free. Not sure if it’s before coupon or just bc I was so close to $40 after coupon.

I just purchased 5 sets that were on sale half off for 2.49 each, after the 3.50/10 coupon my total was $9.xx. Not all of the sets were ringing up on sale in store so I had to go through the line twice, the pomegranate one rang up regular price at my store, and the employees are as helpful as a box of wet hair!
