As far as putting a child’s name and number on the tag, I’d be concerned about a child molester calling out your child’s name and acting like they know them. The “molester” could say they know the family phone number in order to gain the child’s trust.

I just put a picture of my husband and I and “mom” with my phone number so of we get separated they will know what I look like and my number. It would be useful to have inside her backpack when she’s older too. I always had a laminated index card in my backpack as s kid so if k got lost and upset I could hand it to an employee to call my mom
Exactly. Someone gave my son a beach towel with his name on it and I won’t even use it, only at home as a bath towel.
In public monogrammed things aren’t smart but if you have a toddler in daycare that requires kids names on everything the monogrammed towels and backpacks are nice. My nieces and nephews prefer them over sharpies on stuff. I agree though that for school age kids it’s not safe
