   So I had a very different experience at my Sports Authority in Woodland Hills, CA. I gave them my print out from RetailMeNot and after a bunch of whispering the girl came back and said she couldn’t take it because it was fake. She said RetailMeNot is not a legitimate company (what??) and the coupons are not being honored anywhere. I showed them the post on Hip2Save and they said they didn’t care what it says they aren’t taking it. So I proceeded to pull up a $10 off coupon on my phone (not a cash card) and they said they don’t take that either! They refuse to take anything that is not sent via email by Sports Authority or a register printed one (I assume they take those because I saw another customer use one). I called the main number for store help they give online and the girl was totally useless. She didn’t even know what I was trying to explain. So I hung up. So frustrating!! I seriously think I may just start buying my son’s baseball stuff from Amazon now. I can’t stand ineptitude! If this was some sort of fraud issue, then explain to your staff how to approach customers who have them instead of making them feel like idiots or worse, thieves! I worked in retail management for 15 years, so I get things happen. But to say retailmenot isn’t a legit website is pure ignorance on their part.

   We headed over to the Sports Authority and they didn’t honor our coupon because the manager told us that they don’t honor anything from RetailMeNot and they said that they are a bogus company. It was a waste of a trip for us and the$10 dollars didn’t even work.
