Tara, you can play any 2.0 or 1.0 figures with the marvel sets, but not any 3.0. It looks like all of the ones on sale are 2.0, so they would all work with his set
We went fir the lego dimensions instead of this one. Amazon has special offer on lego dimensions $10 off starter. It’s $69 before taxes at walmart. I paid $50.64 shipped on amazon. The level packs are also $10 off and fun packs $5 off. I got one level pack $27.55 and a fun pack $14.96 for $30.19 shipped. I paid $80.83 total when I would have paid $112.50 before taxes at walmart.

Yes we got the lego dimensions one so this is new to me. Can i buy any of the characters and play them in the game?
I think you can only play the Marvel character with a Marvel playset. My daughter loves the Disney characters….the Toy Box starter set has Merida and Stitch and you can use Aladdin, Jasmine, Donald Duck etc… In that set.
