The links don’t always work. However, you can download the raise app and enter someone’s referral code there. That will give you your $5 credit instantly if you did not get one by using someone’s referral link. That is also why I included my referral code along with my link below. Hope that helps!
You don’t even need the app to do that. You can add the referral code on the website. It’s just hidden pretty well… I think you go to your account, referrals, and then… somewhere from there. Shoot. I’m not much help. This part is no longer available to me since I already entered a referral code. Good luck!
Why are these gift cards discounted??
Because people want to get rid of gift cards they won’t use- I sold a bunch of Victoria secret ones.
People want money for gift cards they have no use for. Maybe they moved and the store is no longer near them (a lot of the gift cards are in store use only) or maybe they lost a pet and aren’t getting another one (petco and petsmart are included retailers).

Just thought I would share one experience I had with Raise.com. Bad news: I bought a $150 Whole Foods gc. When I tried to use it, it rang up with only a balance of $4.69. I took the $4.69 off, paid the balance, and called Raise as soon as I got home. Good news: They checked into it and immediately gave me a full refund for my gc purchase with profuse apologies. So I never received an explanation about what happened, but they responded responsibly. I have purchased $100 Whole Foods gcs since that issue and never had another problem.
