Random Makeup Question… Do you all find that you have a lot of makeup purchased on sale through this site, amazon and drugstore deals. I think I have an addiction to buying makeup because it’s a “great deal,” but I never use up everything that I have. Am I alone or does everyone have more makeup than they can ever use?
I do for sure…it’s my one guilty pleasure! I don’t spend a lot of money on other things and if an occasional makeup splurge is the worst thing I do I am okay with that! I won’t buy something that I wouldn’t use and if I end up not liking something I try to pass it along to a friend!
I sure have been in that situation. Not only makeup but with all the other free grocery deals as well. These days unless i’ll actually use something, i dont rush to get them. Definitely saves money and sanity. Couponing and sales were saving money but stressful at the same time lol.
I’m with you. I end up giving away my drugstore makeup deals on Christmas. I make little bags with all the freebies. But I had never heard of the chocolate palette until Collin posted about it and it’s by far my go to palette. But to be honest I don’t jump on all the make up deals unless they’re free or close to it (usually cvs for me) or a super hot deal (like the chocolate bar).
Does the makeup have a lot of shimmer? I try to stay closer to a matte look overall. Too much shimmer can be a bad thing in photos.
I want to know too, I like matte more then shimmer too.
Most of her shadows are matte. Hope this helps!

I just received a similar set from the Beautykind deal a couple days ago. Really cute makeup and very light feeling. Loved it! The highlight shade was beautiful and the sparkle primer felt really good.

Question: How do I know what color to get? Usually wear a light medium in the winter, but in the summer I tan easily. How light is light? How dark is medium?
Porcelain: Very fair skin, burns easily, with pink undertones
Fair: Fair skin with neutral undertones
Medium: Medium skin with cool undertones
Tan: Mediterranean skin tones, olive to tan skin with yellow under tones
Deep: Olive to deep skinned women of color with yellow undertones
Amy, since light and medium mean differently to every brand, you’re better off looking up swatches online to get a real view of the color, lighter can always be warmed up with bronzer etc, it’s harder to go darker to lighter.
