Can referral comments be banned outside of the designated posts?

      • Emily

There isn’t a designated post for referral links, only for trading gift cards and coupons. Maybe just ignore it if it doesn’t affect you…

        • Cassandra

Actually, it affects those of us trying to scope the comments for deal ideas and suggestions, only to be flooded by referrals. There’s one now, but they’re all bound to roll in here soon.

Lowe’s won’t take gift cards from this site 🙁 Too many fraudulent returns to get gc’s then people sell them on here for cash…. sad…

We had the same problem with Lowes too 😩 Although they told us to call the Lowes gift card number and they would send us actual cards. This was after an hour of my husband arguing with them.

Plus we’re pretty sure our cc number got stolen from this site.

How would they know they are from Raise and how could they not accept them if they are lowes gift cards? Glad I haven’t bought lowes cards!

      • Kara

It’s not suppose to be all Lowe’s cards bought from these sites. If it is a physical card or a printed card that does not start with the number 600649174, it is still accepted in store.

    • Raise Support

      Hi Amanda,
Unfortunately due to the recent change to Lowe’s gift card policy, the brand requires certain Lowe’s cards be redeemed in store instead of online. As Raise is a marketplace, we are working with our verified sellers to ship all of these physical cards to our buyers so they have them on hand. If you have any questions or would like more information please reach out to us at support@raise.com.

I purchased a $250 gift card to a steak house from here for $190. My husband and I took my in-laws out to dinner for their anniversary only to find that the gift card had already been used. It took forever and was quite embarrassing. I called Raise since it was still within their 100 day window. They had no problem reimbursing me for the $190 but not for the full $250. I was disappointed because that was the whole reason we took them there and we had to pay the $250 for dinner. This is just a warning that you may want to check your balance before going and definitely use within the 100 day window to at least get your money back that you paid for the certificate.

Ok now I see why lowes is no longer available to buy electronically on abcgiftcards and another site. I just bought several a month ago and used them, need to buy a few more things and can’t find any electronically. bummer that was a good way to save money on big home improvement projects. You can still buy physical cards at a discount so I don’t think it will stop ppl stealing stuff.

FYI – I buy gift cards frequently from Raise & have never had a problem. In one instance, there was weird activity on one card & Raise refunded my money.
