Good price. Is there anyone here tried freezing hot dogs? How it comes? Any advice, thanks

    • Alison

I’ve frozen hot dogs before. Works fine for me.

    • MommaNguyen

Works perfectly fine. We don’t usually don’t eat hot dogs but I always keep a package in the freezer just in case.

    • Erin

Yup. That’s what I always do. I don’t notice a difference. They thaw quickly in cold water, too.

    • jeanette

I do it all the time, they freeze really well

    • Iza

Thanks a lot for replying 🙂 I’m doing it ASA I buy it on sale. That’s why I’m asking, because we don’t usually eat hotdogs 😉 and it’s good if we grab it on a sale and forget about it.

Yes, I buy and freeze all the time. Tip, take them out of the package, spread them on a cookie sheet and flash freeze them. Once frozen, you can then pop them off the tray and put them in a freezer bag. That way if you only need a few hot dogs you can grab what you need, instead of trying to pry apart a package of stuck dogs!

We had these for dinner last night and the package had been in the freezer. Tasted just fine.

Awesome! Thanks for your feedback Deb!

    • Iza

      Thanks Deb

There’s also a 25 cent I ibotta rebate for hot dogs

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn. I am not finding that offer when I search through.

    • Nicole

I also have the any hot dog rebate. Yeah!

I always have Nathan’s or Hebrew National in the freezer and they are always yummy. We have an OLD favorite from hubby’s college days. HotDog Casserole. 1pkg hotdogs cut up into bite size chunks and 1 can baked beans in a sprayed casserole dish with shredded mozzarella cheese and a piece of American cheese (if you like) pulled apart into small pieces spread on top. Bake at 375 for 20-25″ or until bubbly and cheese is melted. Not the healthiest but it’s always a winner here…..and it’s just 2 adults 🙀LOL

Oh cool! Sounds good! Thanks for sharing!
