Funny story- we ordered a new Sony smart TV from Walmart, and they delivered today. Unfortunately it wasn’t a tv in the box, it was a lime green flip chair!?!?

It’s showing $299 is the base price then there is taxes which brings this up to $320 and change?? I thought your post says $299 shipped?
You have to add sales tax.
Shipping is free. It is not possible for Collin to calculate tax for every locality.

Any company that has a brick and mortar store or warehouse in your state has to charge sales tax. As for Walmart, that’s pretty much every state. For me, after they put an Amazon warehouse in my state I’ve had to pay sales tax on every order since. After Amazon starts charging sales tax on every order and in every state soon I’d imagine all e-commerce will follow the tax trend. I always calculate tax in my head then am happy of no taxes are applied during checkout.
Oh and for the LG brand TV, I have a 55″ and 42″ and they are both great in picture and reliability. LG is really highly rated. I’ve had lots of problems with Sony and vizio products lately for some reason don’t customer service was horrible for me on a pricey stereo and on a TV. They pretty much only sell Samsung and LG at our Costco warehouse. 😀
