Q: are these waffle makers easier to use or the waffle makers the rotate? TIA!

    • Erin

Well, I don’t have a rotating waffle maker to compare, but since you don’t have to turn it, I’d say it’s less work.

My dad just got this waffle maker, and I think his last one, a rotating one was a lot better. A rotating one puffs up more, cooks more even, and is insulated more so that you don’t burn yourself, which my dad did with this rectangular one. My dad really likes this rectangular one because it makes larger waffles, but again, I like the round ones because they fit in a gallon zip-lock bag a lot better, for storage. Both kids of waffle makers always overflow, even with an overflow channel. HTH

Just my experience…if you freeze them, make sure to “flash freeze” them first. Put them on a cookie sheet, in one layer, and stick in the freezer for 30 minutes or more, THEN put into a large freezer bag. That way they won’t stick together and make a mess when you try to get them out. We do this all the time. It is so fast and easy for kids in the mornings.

My husband literally just asked me to buy a waffle maker and then I see this! But still….$32 still seems like a lot, is there a reason why this is better than some cheaper ones? I see the same site has a cuisinart one for less than $20. TIA!
