Does anyone know if they are strict about the age requirement on this one? I have an almost five year old that would love it but I don’t want to waste my time.
The company might be but your store probably doesn’t. My daughter was the same way. We just adjusted her age at signup.
It depends on your store, my store is so strict on that, they ask the kids their birthday, and if they don’t think they are the age they don’t give it to them. My son is five and I will not take him back till he meets the age. Because last time he was so sad and hurt that he waited for the toys and still didn’t get it, it really hurt his self esteem
Agreed, our store is ridiculously strict. My five-year-old can build most 6 to 8-year-old projects on his own yet they will not let him participate, turned him away at door. So really depends on your store. Our store in CO has terrible customer service, Mgmt. make rules up about limits of items you can buy (like 2 free build cups per day, per household) or won’t sell certain products even when it’s on shelf, really crazy! Call ahead of you have a young one to get a feel for their attitude toward the build.
Rules exist for a reason. Teach him to follow rules by example. He got huft because you were trying to break the rules.
My store is not my youngest had been going since he was 2
Ages 6-14
I have seen small children at my store. Last event we attended we arrived late and hey still allowed us to participate.
Our store is strict on it and I’m really ok with it. I make my younger kids wait (my 3 and 5 y/o) while my 6 y/o builds. Not all freebies have to be for everyone! It’s frustrating for my younger kids when they hear the other adults in the store admitting that they’re going to try and lie about the age of their kids to get them in next time. π
Thank you! We don’t live anywhere near a lego store, but we will be visiting another city over our Spring Break on March 1st, so I got registered. My kids will be SO excited and me too, something FREE to do!
How exciting! You’re so welcome Heather!
