It’s through your phone number. You type it on the keypad in store after you loaded them to your account.

Why did they text this coupon so late in the day?!?! Arghhhh… I was just there this morning! They should send the coupon the day before or first thing in the morning the day it can be used… not in the afternoon.
Has anyone tried this? There is fine print at the bottom of the ad: “$5 coupon not valid with any other DG coupon offer”.
I tried it and it WORKED! U just get a printed coupon at the bottom of the receipt and you do different transactions

I did this before seeing this! 🙂 the lady at the registered was like “”wow!” Really? ” I just laughed and explained my two transactions. I paid for pop and came out to be 11.60 with bottle deposit and I took the coupon for my second transaction which was 5.06 and she scanned it and that was her response!

It all worked for me. The coupon is a separate $5 off from the usual $5 off $25. Both printed on my receipt. The $5 coupon is good through 02/27 for me.

Well… Guess what. Good old Dollar General tells me this morning that the coupon is no longer valid despite it saying we have until the 19th to use it. I know it’s only $2 savings. But forget it. I did not purchase the two transactions in my cart. Just left a phone message with the district manager. My Dollar General is three blocks from home. I do not shop there because of coupon problems all the time.

I did it at 18:31 with no problems. Not sure How it happened. They rang up at 4.75 each with a store discount of .56, 1.20, 1., .71, 1.52, .73, and 1.53. Weird. LOL I didn’t even mention the coupon. I just entered my phone number and it was there I guess.
I used my brothers phone number and he doesn’t have texting if that works for you Shopper.
