Amy, I wold highly advised that you contact your local Bjs customer service desk and ask if you can use this Groupon as a new member. My husband and I received a coupon for $10 off reg. Bjs membership applicable only to new members. Since we haven’t been members in over 3 years and we received this coupon at home, I thought maybe they wanted our business back. When we arrived to the service desk, the customer service associate gave us such a hard time and said the coupon was only valid for new members not returning members. I know that there are other clubs in my area that consider you a new member if you haven’t been a member in over 1 year. I had her called the store manager, and she reluctantly accepted the coupon stating it was not for returning members. I don’t know if Bjs has an official policy on who they consider to be a new member or if it is left at the discretion of each club.

Groupon may be willing to refund you if the vendor won’t allow you to redeem it. I’ve had a few similar situations/hiccups over the years & Groupon customer service has always been super helpful for me! Good luck!!!!

Last year the year clock started when I bought it, even though I didn’t redeem it until A couple of months later.
mine expired dec. 31. I’m going to give it a try. According to the q&a as long as you don’t currently have an active membership, you are considered a new member. I got to use GREEN20 for 20% off so mine came out to $20
