I believe you can use them in the same transaction, but not on the same item. So the highest regular priced item will get the 40% off and every OTHER item will get the 20% off.
It wouldn’t let me use both for my item online. They both worked separately but not together so I used the 40% off code.

I am so thankful I checked the Hip app today (I know it’s crazy to think I don’t have time to check it daily!) I’m using orchids as centerpieces for my wedding and knew that the floral stems were half off this week. I was waiting until Saturday to buy them because I am meeting with a florist on Friday to see how real orchids look in the cylinders. I caught this post and rushed over (only 45 minutes til Michael’s would be closing) and snagged an extra $11 off because of the 20%. Without the sale and coupon my flowers would have been $115.
