Stay far far away from Sears appliances! Their customer service is infuriating! I had to fight with them for a year before they would replace the refrigerator that their delivery team broke (and admitted/reported themselves). I was in tears many times trying to talk some sense into them. I will never step foot into a Sears again.

I’ve had the exact opposite experience. They have been nothing but great when I needed my lawn tractor and dryer repaired. I only have the manufacturer warranty and both have been covered with no problem. I guess it just depends on who you deal with.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So sorry to hear that Andrea 🙁 Thanks for sharing your experience.

We’ve also had horrible experience with them, and the repair charges end up costing more than the appliances. We’ve spent over $700 on fridge repairs. We ordered a full set, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. All have broken. Microwave was broken right off the bat.

I have several Sears appliances-stove, dishwasher, vacuum- and they have all been good for me. I don’t love the stove, but I think it was a cheaper lower end model and my only real complaint is that it takes a lifetime to preheat. I have never dealt with customer service, so I can’t speak to that, but the appliances themselves have been very acceptable.

Oh good! Thanks so much for your feedback!

I sure need a new fridge. I was hoping to find one a little cheaper than this. Any suggestions on places that sell scratch and dent discounted appliances? Or refurbished ones?

      Sears outlet

Lowes and Home Depot typically have a scratch & dent section for their appliances… Not sure where you live, but at least in Fl, there are several scratch and sent warehouses called Appliance Direct… We were able to buy top of the line washer and dryer (both front load) for $800!

Do you have an Ollies? If so check in there every so often. We got what would have been a couple thousand dollar Fisher & Paykel stainless side by side for something like $800 and it’s been great. No issues whatsoever. But Ollie’s won’t always have the same stuff.

Do you have a sears outlet anywhere close? Look on their website (searsoutlet.com) I’ve bought a Craftsmen tool chest for my husband and replaced our dishwasher for ALOT less. You can buy discounted sears cards to use there and a big purchase would get you a lot of shop your way points. The dishwasher had a small chip of paint on the edge and a dent down on the kickplate. Should have been $650 and ours was $275. They sell appliance touch up paint.

I recently bought this exact refrigerator in stainless steel for $899. I saved a lot of money by stacking coupon codes and shop your way points codes. I also went through Raise.com and purchased my Sears gc’s at a discounted price which saved me a lot of money. I also went through Swagbucks and got back a couple thousand SB’s.

How do you like it? I see a lot of mixed reviews about it.

      • Sam

I love it! I have no complaints! It’s so spacious!

    Love SEAR’s closeout sales!
    Got a1700$ fridge for 370
    And a 1100$ dishwasher for 220!!!
I was watching them slowly marking them down , hoping the items wouldn’t leave the store :))

    • Haseena

Was this at regular Sears store or outlet? And what time of the year did they have these huge markdowns? Tia

  7. Sara

Hey wouldn’t the price really be $700 since ur getting $76 back 😉

  8. mrs.m

Thank you all. I’ll try the outlet this weekend. I hope I find a good deal before the end of April.
