Thanks Z, just got the sample, but what’s better the sample or the $4 off coupon???
Thanks Colin and Z!
You’re welcome Deb!
Thanks Collin and Z for the tip! I don’t wear contacts, but these are great as general eye drops for itchy eyes from dry eye, allergies or eye fatigue. Or pass them to a neighbor/friend who wears contacts!
No! This is a peroxide-based cleaner and will burn your eyes!! It is for use only overnight in a special case that has a neutralizing disk. Do not get it to use as eye drops!
Jenny, you are correct! Used incorrectly they will burn your eyeballs!
Oh my gosh No! Please Do Not use these as eye drops!
Irene- This is a peroxide based solution- you CANNOT use it straight in the eye. Very bad things would happen if you did 🙁 I absolutely love this solution. It takes have the time to neutralize as Clear Care. Great for someone that does not get a full 8 hours of sleep at night!
These are NOT eye drops. If you use them as such, one drop will burn your eyes. The lenses must soak for at least 6 hours in the special case to neutralize the solution.
Oh please don’t put this particular solution in your eyes. It has to have a chemical reaction for 8 hours with a metal otherwise is will burn your eyes!!! Please don’t do it with this particular solution!!!!
OMG, thank you all for letting me know!!!!!
i agree. i had a sample bottle from my doc office and i used it overnight….ugggh ouch burn burn burn. i will stick with my regular brand opti fresh. but as always thanks for posting this deal 🙂
Just FYI, the peroxide cleaners should never be used without the right case that contains a neutralizing disk and letting it sit for the recommended time (overnight or at least 4-6 hours). Opti Fresh is a clean-and-rinse product and your contact can be inserted right away as soon as it is rinsed.
If you have never used a peroxide-based cleaner, you might want to ask your eye doctor about it before you try it. I have used peroxide cleaners for at least 20 years and I think they do the best job of any contact cleaner, but you have to be careful and read the instructions carefully or ask your doctor for help.
I love this product. I have been waiting for good sales and coupons to get more of them. You need to leave your contacts in the solution over 8 hours, so it doesn’t burn your eyes. I have read comments that if you are going to use your contacts right after the 4 hour soak, rinse them with saline solution but have not tried it.Since I work early in the morning and my contacts don’t get soaked for more than 5 hours, I usually have 2 pairs of contacts that I alternate every day . For me this has been the best solution and I have been using Renu and Biotrue but with Peroxi Clear it seems like my contacts have a longer life and don’t get build up as quick as the other solutions.
Thanks for the helpful feedback Patricia!
All it offered me was a $2 off coupon 🙁 what input did you use that got the sample or $4 coupon?
The Store brand peroxide for the $4 coupon
Clear care will get you sample or $4 coupon, the store brand will give you just th$4 coupon
Clear care
Is this for soft contacts?
It says on the box for all soft contact lenses, includingvsilicone hydrogel and rigid gas permeable
My husband has soft lenses, my daughter has hard lenses and we use it for both.
^^^^thanks! I remember these from the 90s and thought they were just for hard contacts.
While it’s a terrible idea to try to use this as regular eye drops, this stuff makes good jewelry cleaner! Drop small jewelry in with the solution and the special case. Don’t try with delicate stones like pearls, opals. Check it out. Dissolves all the icky stuff that accumulates in rings, chains, etc. Takes 6 hrs for the chemical reaction cycle to complete.
