The MacBook Air is on sale for $750 (11 inch) and 849 for the 13 inch.
Oh cool! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve debated on the 11 inch – until I saw it in the Apple store. It’s tiny.
Don’t forget to check your local utility companies for rebates. Mine has a $15 rebate on energy star computers. Which the Macbook Pro is.
I guess personal preference makes a big difference – I have the 11 inch MacBook Air and I adore it!
What’s the difference between flash storage and GB? I have a Windows laptop that has 750GB hard drive space.
Flash storage is a solid state hard drive (no moving parts, think of it like a giant memory card), what you probably have in your Windows machine is a spinning hard drive which is a bit like a cd, the disc has to spin and get up to speed to read the data. A spinning hard drive (also known as a SATA drive) is more susceptible to failure through damage and wear because of the moving parts and ultimately slows down over time. The solid state storage allows your computer to boot and work quicker, and remain quick over the life of the computer. Solid state is more expensive which is why you get less for your money but you should see how full the hard drive is in your current computer, if you have a 750gb hard drive but your only using 150gb of it you might not need 750gb in a new computer. If you have any doubts, go into Best Buy or the Apple Store and restart the MacBook Pro with the CD drive (which has a spinning hard drive) and the MacBook Air/ MacBook Pro with Retina display (both have solid state storage) and you will see a significant difference. You won’t regret spending the money on a Mac with the solid state storage. Hope that answers your question!
