This seems like crazy money. But I don’t have a home yet to stock with kitchen items lol.

I have a question for anybody willing to give input…

So my question is when I move our do you think it is a good idea to put money into good items that will last longer? What i want is to find products with lifetime warranties. So it can be replaced, is that a good idea?

It depends… I moved out in my early twenties and didn’t have a lot of money to invest in nice things. Now I am in my 30s and married and can afford some better quality items. It’s also going to depend on where you move to.. I had a few apartments with a few different roommates and some of the kitchens were small. In my case it worked it better to have some cheaper things and then get the good stuff when I was more settled.. But that was just my situation. It also helps to ask for some kitchen items for birthdays/Christmas.

I think it really depends on your needs. I splurged on my kitchenaid because I bake alot, but I’ve had cheapo non stick pans that lasted 5 years. I recently replaced them for $10. I bought a fancy ceramic pan for $30 and it lasted for a whole week. It got random scratches and I totally regret spending that money. I get cast iron skillets in thrift stores. Like I said it depends on your needs and what you want.

      Make wise choices
This is the order I would go in expensive purchases
high quality knives and a good cutting board
      vacuum
      good mixer
pots and pans (no matter how careful you are they will get worn)
      food processor/ blender
      coffee maker

These I feel can be cheap items
      can opener
      toaster
      Trash can
      Cookie sheets

Wait. Ask for them for wedding presents.

Yes, quality items will be worth it in the long run. You want items you can say you have had for 10, 20, 30 years!

  3. Kareena

I wouldn’t🤗 , even thought it is replaceable , who wants to live with the same pots forever, it seems boring for me . I would rather buy new when it wears. Still expensive with this deal🤑. Just my opinion !

Think about the enviroment! If an item is still in good shape and working fine, please dont replace it!

Another question could the items walk off?. When I was with housemates then it was easy for items to just disappear. Just starting out I would recommend only few key items not a full set. But each person situation is different

For what it’s worth, I have this set and it is awesome! Cooks fantastic and easy to clean. It is discontinued though, so if you want other prices, better buy them now.

Glad to hear how well your set has held up! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve had our pots and pans for 10 years. I think they’re worth investing in. I wish I would have gotten stainless to begin with though. My have about had it. Even if they only last 10 years, that’s $35 a year you’ve invested in pots and pans. I think that’s reasonable.

I have Calphalon, and love all my pans! You do need to cook differently with them, so read directions before you start. Ive purchased all of mine from T.J. Maxx on clearance. They are well worth the money, and seem to be invincible.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear that Lindsey! Thanks so much for the great review!
