Zwilling makes awesome knives! The type you’ll keep forever.
Happy to hear they are of such great quality! Thanks for the feedback!
Don’t put them in the dishwasher, I have a set by this manufacturer that is being replaced by warranty.
These or any chef quality knives should not go in the dishwasher. I’ve had this set for 11 years and haven’t had a problem but I always wash and dry the after using. They’re awesome knives but you have to take care of them properly.
Unforutnently I read the box mine came in which stated dishwasher safe, when I get my warranty replacement I won’t be putting them in the dishwaser ever again.
I have a similar J.A. Henckels knives set that we got off our wedding registry SIX YEARS ago. I haven’t had to sharpen them once. This is a sound investment!
Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Please keep in mind that all knives are not created equal. Normally the Henckels (and Wusthof) knives that are known to last decades are absolutely not the stamped variety like these are. If you want great knives that last decades, then save your money and buy a forged set instead. I bought my forged Wusthof set almost 20 years ago (the classic line) and they are still in near new condition and sharp as hell (and I do dishwasher wash them and have the entire time I have owned them). The lower priced stamped lines like these tend to rust, break at the hilt, and hate the dishwasher. If you are serious about buying a good set of knives, do yourself a favor and google “forged vs stamped knives”.
I’ve had this set for 11 years and have never had a problem.
Putting a chefs knife in a dishwasher is always a bad idea. The cheaper lines are still a great alternative to the forged knives. Just treat them well and they will last. I only use wüsthof and zwilling knives when i prep food.
It looks like the same set is on sale at JCPenney with coupon code “family” for $97. Plus 15% Ebates.
Thank you! That helps a lot. EVERY PENNY COUNTS in this household.
