Great deal thanks, I purchased 2. Been needing protein powder. I like they idea of plant based as aposed to my normal whey protein as well so I am excited to try them out.
You’re so welcome!
I purchased the vanilla Vega protein and greens from Costco a couple weeks ago. I’m not fond of the taste, it leaves a bitter aftertaste. Sam’s carries a similar powder (in a bag) that I love. Also my health food store carries a Garden of Life vegetable-derived protein powder that is delicious. Just my opinion. 😊
Beware of the that using that brand. I did a lot of research when I was buying my protein powder and they have the most lead content of any protein powder I was looking into. Make sure to research items before you get them! It’s easy to assume they are “healthy” because it says it’s vegan or plant based!
Whitney, do you have a favorite? I am looking for a stevia sweetened plant based….
Most proteins will have some lead, arsenic, and cadmium contamination. Same as most of our foods and supplements. Vega primarily uses pea protein, and will thus test very low compared to most other brands.

This is not a great tasting shake at all! It has a great nutritional profile, but it took me forever to drink it. I was sent a chocolate and vanilla packet and both were awful. The main protein is from peas and you can taste it. I am trying Orgain organic next, hoping for better taste.
Thank you so much for posting this. I was just about to go buy 2 more tubs. lol. I disliked the vanilla and thought that perhaps Chocolate would be better.
Oh bummer! Sorry to hear that Darcey! 🙁 Thanks for the honest review!
The Vega ONE in chocolate is delicious!!!
Yum! Thanks for sharing!
I have purchased Orgain Organic (chocolate) and Vega Protein and Greens (vanilla). They are both great with nondairy milks and frozen banana. Great way to sneak in the nutrition especially with the kids. You can also use it to make frozen Popsicles.
I drink the chocolate everyday. I add a banana and unsweetened almond milk. Yum!
I’ve tried this brand before–both the meal replacements and protien powders–the BEST tasting ones out there
